Starting this one in bed tonight.
At 16h10min and I have finished 3 of my planned books.
I really love the Grishaverse and this book added so much more to the story. The political intrigue and more in depth look at the small science/magic really made me enjoy being in this world even more.
And then there is Nikolai... I just fell for him hook line and sinker 🥰😍😘

The second book in the Grishverse world a
And the series is coming to Netflix! The story starts off with a bang, middle does meander a little but ends with a stunning conclusion. Bardugo builds on her fantasy world with rich details and her own deft touch adding a little steam punk with magic. A heady blend of adventure, romance and fantasy. The action, character development and plot all continue with great skill and flair. Highly recommended!!
About 75% through this now. Been picking it up on and off most of the last year. Still not sure what i feel about it 🤦🏻♀️ #leighbardugo #siegeandstorm #whatiread #agirlwhoreads #booksoflitsy #booksareforever #mybooks #books #readingisfreedom #readabook #booklover #bibliophile #wordnerd #fullshelves #reader #reading #follow #followme #library
I loved this and flew through it, though it did seem to get stuck at times. There were also some decisions made by the main character that were so frustrating and only served as necessary plot points. But overall, I love this world that Leigh Bardugo has created. 4⭐
I‘m loving this series! Set directly after Shadow and Bone, Alina & Mal are on the run from the Darkling & his rebel Grisha. Taking ship to the west, they‘re discovered & brought back to Ravka, but things don‘t go according to the Darklings plan. I love Nikolai, I love the tension between Mal & Alina and I love to hate the Darkling. Diving straight into Ruin & Rising next. 5⭐️
Already halfway through this 2nd book in the Grisha series. It‘s so easy to read, you get totally immersed in its world & before you know it, it‘s 6am and the sun is up🌞Apparently Netflix has made these books into a TV series, I can‘t wait to see what they do with it. Who would be your choice to play the Darkling? Mal & Alina? Or the Sturmhund?
Think I‘ll be diving straight in to the 2nd book in the Grisha series, I‘m so happy I bought the boxset last year. Just finished watching Game Of Thrones S8E5 and I‘m very disappointed in how things are turning out. How do you guys feel? Please George, finish the damn books already!🙏🔥🐉
Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo 4 ⭐️ I am enjoying reading this series. However I do not understand the love everyone has for the Darkling??? I‘m loving Nikolai and can‘t wait to finish this series so I can read King of Scars. Another volume packed with adventure and drama! 😆
I didn't find this second book in the series as gripping as the first, whether that's a matter of a lack of Darkling scenes (there can never be enough), or frustration with Mal being an absolute moron sometimes. That being said, I still really enjoy this story and world, and we got an absolute gift in Nikolai. He is the best. I can't wait to read King of Scars now, a whole book about Nikolai? Yes please.
It's the holidays... and it's cold and windy. I don't mind though as it's perfect reading weather! I finished up Siege and Storm this morning. I enjoyed it, but it didn't quite live up to the first book. I loved the characters and the writing, but there was a long period in the middle where nothing really happened. I'd still recommend it though as the ending was fantastic.
A lot of the book kind of dragged on, but the ending was absolutely spectacular. I was definitely on the edge of my seat out of nowhere, thats why I will give S&S a pick. I find that the second books in trilogies often don't hold my attention very well, this wasn't much different in the long run however, like I said, the ending was really good and made me really excited for the next book. I would rate it between pick and so-so if I could.
I liked this book, and I like this series. The
world-building is fun and the plots are interesting. The new additions to the cast were good too. My big problem was that every time I put this book down, I would forget that I was reading it. Literally forgot every single day for a week. It just didn't hold my attention, perhaps because very little happens?I just hope the next is a little more compelling, and maybe a little less introspective.
the last few days were super sunny and warm for March, and I actually had a day off to enjoy them in my favourite way: reading in my backyard! 🌳🌳🌳
The 2nd book in the trilogy. My husband gave me a copy of The Six of Crows for Christmas (on my request) but I didn‘t realize it was part of a larger series. So now I‘m reading the original trilogy before I get started on the duology. I am really liking this universe with the Grisha and am looking forward to finishing the third!
1. Tagged book and The Winter of the Witch on audiobook

4. Yes, absolutely loved it, picture of Cliffs of Moher above!

Leigh Bardugo is such an amazing writer! Her world building and the way she describes scenes and the feelings her characters are experiencing is incredible. The only negative I think I have about this book is that I‘m not a big fan of Alina and Mal. I am finding myself loving more of the background characters more than the main characters and just can‘t find a way to connect with them at all. 4/5🌟
Another great book in the Grisha trilogy. I'm really enjoying the playing around with morality and the explorations of magic. I think this series also involves the first love rectangle I've ever seen? I'm excited to see how everything plays out in book three.
