eeclayton @ElizaMarie I agree that Mr G is rather late. It's weird that he tends to (both him and Mrs K actually) treat Molly like a little child but expect her to behave in a mature way. Also, Lydia Bennet had been married for over a year when she was Molly's age. Not that she'd be a good role model, I'm just comparing life stages. 3d

eeclayton @Cuilin manipulation is one thing, but what really bugs me is that she doesn't want to invite her own daughter to the wedding so that she can't outshine her. Just awful. And then there's the matter of the cheese!

dabbe Esther has never had anything below an “A“ in her life. She wins contests, too. Not getting into the summer class was her complete undoing. I'm almost scared now to read more.

Riveted_Reader_Melissa @BkClubCare Yes! That sounds like it should have been developed into a great paper! I‘m sure it‘s in literature meant to be a shortcut to “he cares”, but in reality “he feels entitled to touch her” or “fix her”. 🤷‍♀️ 5y
