Unfortunately @Clwojick won‘t continue her #Pantone challenge but on Storygraph I found that Anglelist (not on Litsy) has created the #Pantone2024 challenge based on the release of the NYC & London fashion weeks.
I thought I‘d share this with you, for anyone who enjoyed the past years. Thanks so much for hosting, Cassandra!

Here‘s the Storygraph link: https://app.thestorygraph.com/reading_challenges/aa210f16-cb9f-4f3d-b941-47e5677...

OriginalCyn620 Thank you! I do enjoy this challenge! 😊 3mo

Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Here are the colors for #Pantone2024 if you‘re interested. Hosted by @BarbaraBB 3mo
Eggs Thanks for the tag❣️ These shades are beautiful! I‘m in 🥳 3mo
BarbaraBB @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Actually, @Lauredhel made a much better graphic and someone one Storygraph created the challenge and list so I am only just sharing because I liked the challenge so much 🩷 3mo
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @BarbaraBB can you explain this challenge? I missed it last year! 3mo
BarbaraBB @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Sure! Each year there are colors announced by the NY and London fashion weeks that will be the trend that year. We try to read a book for each of these colors: matching a color with the cover of a book. You‘ll see plenty of examples when you follow #pantone2023. For an overview of the colors, visit link on Storygraph I shared above or take a screenshot of @Lauredhel ‘s post on it. I hope this is helpful, if not, let me know (edited) 3mo

I‘ve read this before but paid more attention this time. A few years back I read, then watched the tsunami book and film The Impossible. Surviving, then rebuilding after this kind of event is monumental. The village elder reiterates “We love life bc we live in danger. We do not fear death bc we understand that life and death are necessary to each other.”

I also finished the Pantone Reading Challenge this week. I had the most fun with this one! Looking for colors rather than Titles/Authors/Content was a nice change. #Pantone

Just for fun I tallied up how many times I used each color from January to this AM.You can see Fiery Red, Cherry Tomato, and Blue Perennial were the most used shades. Least used were Andean Toucan, Pink Cosmos, and Beetroot Purple, which are some of my favorites along with Love Bird.

Cassandra, are we using the same color chart all year, or will there be a new chart on the horizon? Thanks!

@Clwojick #Pantone 2023

Clwojick Oooh this is so fun! I‘m a stats girl, so I love seeing the numbers. There are two a year, so I‘ll be posting the fall/winter fashion week colours soon! I took a peak, and some of the colours are STUNNING! 👌🏻🤩 9mo
Crazeedi @Clwojick can you add me to this? I'd like to try! 9mo

This was hilarious in its eerily accurate characterization of husband, wife, pregnancy, and parenting. Fun🫶🏻

I wasn‘t sure I was going to like this book in the beginning. The 4 characters introduced in book one were kind of prickly and I wasn‘t sure I wanted to know them better but a little further in and I couldn‘t put it down. And Meena will not be forgotten. Thanks for the awesome recommendation @Amiable #AuldLangSpine @monalyisha #TBRTarot Done @CBee #Pantone #LoveBird @Clwojick

Deblovestoread @amiable I read The Space Between Us years ago but will definitely be reading from her backlist in the future starting with this one already on my shelf 11mo

In book 1 Detective Royce Davis stumbled upon the world of shifters. Now, he's gotten himself involved with a vampire boyfriend and a suspicious case that looks to be revealing a dirty cover-up within his police department. Sinclair has spent his afterlife never settling in one place but now he's found Royce he's willing to stick around, but his past might be coming back to haunt him.
This one had some interesting takes on the vampire myth 🦇

Clwojick Such a fun cover! 13mo

You don‘t need to be a gamer to enjoy the tagged book as it is ultimately about friendships and family. It‘s about connection and sometimes how those connections fade due to lack of communication or our own faulty thinking. There is one story thread that I am not 100% on board with which I will mention below if anyone whose read it wants to chime in.

Deblovestoread The Sadie/Dov storyline threw me when Sam mentioned seeing the injuries to Sadie during her relationship with Dov. The reader knew it was with consent but Sam and Marks did not. Wouldn‘t they have at least once asked her about it not just mentioned years later? 13mo
Clwojick Can‘t wait to get my hands on this one! 13mo

Bluebird Loved this book! And yes, i agree with your comments about the Sadie/Dov storyline. Their ‘inaction‘ seemed out of character. 13mo
