#wanderingthroughwutheringheights #pemberlittens #chapter9 Wow long and dark chapter. Hindley returns wants to kill everyone. Almost kills Hareton by H saves him. H over hears C telling Ellie she wants to marry Edgar. H sulks off. C wants to marry E because she thinks it will save H from Hindley. C waits for his return and sit up all night after being in the rain. She of course gets sick. H never returns. She is sent to the Linton‘s👇👇👇

MicrobeMom To recover. Of course she does but gives her illness to Mr. & Mrs. Linton. Boom they die. 3 years pass. C marries E, and Ellie leaves Trushcross Grange with C. Very important chapter. It is clear that C‘s true love his H but it is a very u healthy love. She cannot exist without him. 11mo

DivineDiana It is a beauty! ❤️ 11mo
mollyrotondo I am reading from this one! I love it! 11mo
mollyrotondo Why do you think it took three years for Catherine and Edgar to finally marry? 11mo
Crinoline_Laphroaig @mollyrotondo I understood "three years subsequent to his father‘s death." To be just that 3 years since his father died not 3 years later in the story Timeline. But as I'm not a WH aficionado I could be wrong. 11mo
Crinoline_Laphroaig @mollyrotondo but having just read @MicrobeMom Recap it is 3 years. 🤔 11mo
MicrobeMom So true!!! 11mo
MicrobeMom @Crinoline_Laphroaig @mollyrotondo took it has 3 years two marry her. But I need to reread and look at the family tree. 11mo
MicrobeMom @mollyrotondo so Mr.Earnshaw dies in 1777 and she marries Edgar in 1783. So I think it took 3 year and Heathcliff is gone for 3 years. 11mo
Crinoline_Laphroaig @MicrobeMom @mollyrotondo which makes sense because at the start of today's Chapter when Heathcliff returns Edgar is still acting like a Newlywed. 11mo

Sigh. Today we meet the delicious Willoughby. Fun fact: the actor who plays him in this adaptation is married to the actress who plays Elinor…. #buddyread #chapter9 #pemberlittens

wanderinglynn Yes! They met on set & it was Emma Thompson who wrote the 1995 adaptation. Such a great love story. 💜 11mo
sprainedbrain Damn Willoughby! Of all of the Austen rakes, I have the softest spot for him. I also love the actor who plays him in the 2008 series. 😍 11mo
Chili I prefer 2008 Willoughby. 11mo

Photo: trying to get your friends attention through *subtle* facial expressions so they can spare you being stuck talking to a guy you aren‘t interested in.

Come on Mrs. Allen 😂

Poor Catherine is stuck spending the day with Terrible Mr. Thorpe even though all she wants to do is go see Miss (ahem and Mr.) Tilney.

#hpchapteraday #Chapter9 #Betrayal By definition, the word betrayal means intentionally revealing information to an enemy. In this case, even though he's already the enemy, Malfoy's tip to Filch that there are students out of bed is a betrayal.
