Boy, did I love this book! I am a sucker for handwriting in books anyway (probably stems from The Babysitter Club days of my youth). I have a habit where at some point I read the last sentence of a story, (a morbid habit) and this one was a bit of a spoiler but the journey getting there was so fun that I didn‘t care. The tension between our two main characters was lovely and ended up being a great payoff. #bookspin for April

WHEN will I meet a man irl that compares to an Abby Jimenez hero?? I was down so bad for Briana and Jacob and how tender they were with one another. Their families were so lovely, too! There's a trope at the end I know some people don't like, but I was all in, baby. #contemporaryromance #romcom

Oh I liked this so much! Set in the same world as “Part of Your World “, but it stands completely on its own. I really appreciate the mental health aspects of this story and how love shows up, and all the ways it can.

I read this book because I absolutely had to read the Book of the Month 2023 book of the year. I enjoyed it, even though romance isn‘t one way favorite genres. I can‘t say it‘s one of the best books I read in 2023, but it was entertaining. It was pretty typical for a romance novel. It dealt with many issues, focusing on trust. The author made it personal by also focusing on organ donation. I‘m glad I read this book.

This was really good! Not my usual genre, but I‘m thinking I need to add more like this into my reading rotation. The writing was on point, and Jacob is my new book boyfriend. My only gripe is the non-communication trope. 🗣️”Just ask the questions that you need to ask when you need ask them and so many problems will be avoided!!!” Regardless, a definitive pick ❤️

5 of my favorite contemporary romances that I read this year, so 5 books about #FallingInLove ❤️❤️❤️

He was like a living lullaby. A softly spoken word. The smell of coffee and toast in the morning or a cozy fleece blanket. The rain pattering on the roof on a day where you don‘t have to go anywhere or do anything.
This book is not perfect - sometimes Briana‘s insecurities, while relatable, are also exhausting (I‘m sure that was kind of the point). Anyway, I enjoyed reading this love story.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️CUUUUTE. Just like the first book. You don‘t have to read Part of Your World to enjoy Yours Truly, but I would bc it‘s fun to have the character glimpses. TBH I enjoyed Bri‘s story almost a little more! Super quick read despite the page number! Romcom vibes!

i cried. and i read it in one day so you already know i loved every second of this book. i haven‘t read a fake dating trope in a long time, probably since to all the boys, so this was fun! i loved the characters, and i loved abby jimenez‘s writing and the personable details she includes. i thought the plot was fun and fresh and it was well paced. i enjoyed the doctor love story; i don‘t think i‘ve ever read one! i also loved the closed door-ness!

Abby Jimenez always manages to bring the feels. I particularly identified with Jacob, as we share some of the same anxiety symptoms, though mine are not as significant as his.

A cute fake dating romance novel with some predictable bumps. It almost became a miscommunication trope, but everything was clarified before things could nosedive. I liked the slow burn of it all more than I expected. Abby Jimenez writes another good one.

Got a “skip the line” on my library e-book hold so of course I had to fit this into my weekend after enjoying Part of My World last month. Book 2 of that series—although it can work alone, unless you have series order issues like me.😉Sweet & funny with lovable main & secondary characters. The author did a great job sensitively incorporating social anxiety, depression, chronic illness & other topics within a satisfying romance.

If someone asked me what word I would use to describe this book, the first thing that comes to mind is “Beautiful”. This book was absolutely beautiful. To say I am a fan of Abby‘s writing is a gross understatement.

This book is giving me happy feels.

This novel was a great mix of romance, comedy, and heart. I absolutely loved the two main characters and their screwball, endearing myriad of family and friends. I also thought it was interesting to see one of the main characters have to battle with a pretty bad case of social anxiety (I think that was the main issue he was working with…I listened to the audiobook so couldn‘t go back and reference it). My only real “issue” with the story was ⬇️

Oh my goodness, talk about a slow burn! This is my first Abby Jimenez book and I think I‘ll read some of her others, but hopefully they don‘t all have a slow burn like that.

This has fake dating and they write letters to each other. But both are really bad at expressing their feelings. Whereas, if they just had a conversation, they could have been together sooner.

Just a classic tbr stack that I hope I can get through in 2 weeks😅😬

My goal for #JoysOfJune was simply to enjoy what I am reading. This was the first boon of the #readathon, and it met the requirement. Both my husband and son commented about me laughing out loud while reading. I always love the development of this authors characters.

This was a wonderful romance story. I realized it was part of a series after I‘d started it, but it seemed stand alone. All the characters, especially the two ER doctor protagonists, are likable. There‘s a kidney transplant storyline, too. I really liked how the author showed multiple positive strategies for dealing with societal anxiety and trauma/fear of abandonment for each character. This was a good book.

I started out loving this book - the setting of the two intelligent MCs, the meet cute, the fake dating and why, organ donation, the great supporting characters. A romance needs a bump, but when it‘s miscommunication and that trope takes over the story my tips from my stars start dropping. This is still a pick, I liked it, it‘s just the unique story I was loving went astray.

Argh. Remember when I had that unexpected wealth of about 15 ebooks on my library hold list suddenly drop into my Libby app? And then I weirdly freaked out with some sort of library book paralysis of analysis and didn‘t read for ten days or so because I was overwhelmed with choices. I can‘t explain it. Now I‘m paying for it. This darling romance is due today. I‘ve already requested a hold. 8 weeks wait.Sigh. I can‘t wait. Time to buy the book 😂

I‘ve been looking forward to this one! It‘s my first read for the #14books14weeks2023 challenge!

Loved this book. The two main characters, Brianna and Jacob, were perfect for each other. They got each other and the author did a fabulous job with the character development. I also loved how Jimenez handed the mental health issues. Plot was good and everything about this book just worked. This is one I know I will read again. 5⭐️
Technically a series but totally a stand alone.

Just started this and I am already hooked. The book starts with ER nurses calling the new doctor, Dr. Death and thinking maybe Dr. D would work too, only to be told it sounds like calling him a penis!!!
🤣🤣🤣

I really enjoyed this and blew through it. The characters were relatable and it was pretty sweet storytelling. 4⭐️ #botm

A lovely romance between a cranky doctor just getting over her divorce and her anxious new coworker who is just the most lovely person.
