The notorious RBG! 😍
I enjoyed learning about the amazing, inspiring, and notorious Ruth Bader Ginsburg. This book covers her personal and professional life and introduces younger readers to the world RBG lived in and worked (and continues to work) to change. This is a very short read, but it is packed with facts, information, and humor. Though quite informational, the writing is friendly and pulls the reader in, making them feel like they know RBG.
RBG at the National Book Festival this year! I'm so excited. ❤️❤️❤️
The 19th annual Library of Congress National Book Festival will be held Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m.
Audio book on the way home today
Not my favorite. It was a but too political for me, but it did give me more of an idea of what women have gone through.
In this nonfiction account of Ruth Bader Ginsburg's life, Irin Carmon and Shana Knizhnik provide an overview of Ginsburg's life, family, and work, as well as her place in Supreme Court and United States history. I was fascinated to learn about her education and her early career, particularly the cases dealing with gender equality. ⬇️
I had a chance to get through a few audiobooks - a kind of trifecta of the female voice in power. First up was finishing this delightful biography of Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Her "notoriety" had exploded over the past several years but she's been a firebrand for equality for forever. I loved learning more about who she is and how she's impacted the world. The story of her relationship with her partner Marty it's a sweet touch throughout as well.
May was good to me!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I‘m ashamed and embarrassed to admit I didn‘t quite realize the level of badassery that is pioneering feminist Ruth Bader Ginsberg. This book, written by the creator of the brilliantly titled Notorious RBG Tumblr, is an excellent overview of RBG‘s life and accomplishments. I can‘t wait to read more about her life!
Thoughts on this book. Want to read it
I cannot even tell you how happy this book makes me. I have always been a fan of RBG, but this just makes me appreciate her even more. Everything she has done and how she has done it is simply amazing. I am proud this is a women I can look up to.

Loved this!! I had doubts about it going in but once I started I couldn‘t put it down. I don‘t even usually read books like this. Can‘t wait for book club discussion.
Watching this film , about half way through,WOW!
I‘m liking this more than I expected. I‘ve never wanted to underline passages in a book until this one. Wow!! #RBG
Listening to this gem on my commute. RBG is a badass!
The audio version available at my library happens to be the Young Readers‘ Edition. Well told story. Inspiring.
Next up for book club.
⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️½ • When the subject matter is Ruth Bader Ginsburg, can a book even be bad?! She is a true legend and inspiration. This book isn‘t perfect, but RBG sure is. I display this book proudly next to my RBG action figure.
“I think that men and women, shoulder to shoulder, will work together to make this a better world. Just as I don‘t think that men are the superior sex, neither do I think women are. [I]t is great that we are beginning to use the talents of all of the people, in all walks of life, and that we no longer have the closed doors that we once had.”

“For a while, her favorites were books about Greek and Norse mythology, and then she graduated to Nancy Drew. ‘This was a girl who was an adventurer, who could think for herself, who was the dominant person in her relationship with her young boyfriend,‘ RBG remembered happily.”

Delighted by the news yesterday that RBG is cancer free...👍🏼🤞🏼👍🏼🤞🏼
Just joint the waitlist!
The document on RBG was really excellent.... so I‘m primed for this list!
The best thing about this book was the in-depth exploration of what is a meme of feminism to many of us and how RBG is more amazing than I had realized. The worst thing was listening to it on audio. I think I missed out on a lot of additional content (footnotes, photos, etc). So I‘d recommend this, but pick up a hard copy. I‘m now extra excited to see On the Basis of Sex in theaters tomorrow!
Book haul from Book Outlet 😍 Sooo excited for my new Colleen Hoovers! Also, the Kim Jung-Il one is a #BlameitonLibertyHardy
Date night without a date (Mr K is doing family stuff tonight). Looking forward to seeing this - her book of writing is nearing the top of my TBR! Dont have to share the popcorn! 🤣
Loving my bed time read!! RBG is so inspiring. Kind of want to start my second career in law...???
Ruth Bader Ginsburg is amazing. This book was not. It jumped all over the place both timewise and subject wise. I recently watched the CNN documentary and thought they did a much better job of making her story compelling.
I just ordered a belated Christmas present to Lucas and myself. 😁 I spent like $30 on Book Outlet and got everything seen above. There's a few that I've been dying to read for a long time!
Their Boxing Day sale lasts for 3 more days in case anyone wants to get in on it. 👌
This is on my library pile, and seems timely to read now. 💗💗💗
I've no idea where this image came from (A friend posted it on facebook), but I definitely feel the sentiment. If I could crochet, I'd be making one of these to hang in my house.
