A very sweet graphic novel! A coming of age story about boys falling in love while the dramas of high school play out around them. I loved the art style & all of the secondary characters. I was not a fan of the abrupt ending. So I immediately put the next couple volumes on hold.🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

Sweet, romantic, fun, realistic drama, insecurities, friends getting in the way. Or, I should say, people who pretend to be friends.

I love good YA.

Omg squee this is just so cute. ?

Graphic novel about Charlie a gay boy in high school who befriends Nick who‘s the year ahead of him. It has all the questioning and adorable shared looks and confusion of first thinking you might be gay, without being overly clichéd about it.

Definitely worth a read and I‘ll be getting the next one from Libby asap!

Since the TV series has now caught up with the graphic novels I can safely read them without fear of spoilers. It does feel slightly weird - some pages immediately call TV scenes to mind, others are new to me. And of course as usual when reading graphic novels I am mainly text focused and I have to remember to slow down and look at the pictures.

Heartstopper is a really sweet story. My daughter is right about how good it is. I‘m going to have to finish the series.

My daughter loves the show. I have seen the first few episodes. So I‘m going to try reading the graphic novels.

I watched the show last year and loved it, so decided to pick up volume one of the graphic novel. It is a super fast read and I finished it in about 45 minutes. I‘m not as invested in the characters since you don‘t get as much time with them, but I definitely felt the excitement near the end!

I do love a good bracket.

I first read these years ago, long before the series and have wanted to reread them for awhile. I finally got around to with volume 5 just around the corner.

I was gladly surprised to find out how close the series were to the books, even if there were some changes in season 2.

Just as sweet as I remembered them even if volume 4 gets quite heavy with self-harm and anorexia.

Can‘t believe all 4 Heartstopper books are still out on display… I‘m not back at work until Thursday (💃🏻) but I‘m hoping to see some significant movement in this display.

Finally read and caught up on this Webtoon original!! I find myself geeking out over every interaction. And the Netflix series holds it up well. 💕

My favourite moment in Heartstopper Vol. 1 🍁🍂. Nick's bisexual storyline is beautiful and oh-so important 🩷💜💙. I love this series with my whole heart!

My heart has melted! Ooh, my goodness. This is the most adorable m/m romance I've ever had the pleasure of reading. My favourite part was that Charlie's and Nick's relationship is just so realistic and supportive and soft (no over the top drama). Just two boys who fell in love and make each other feel safe and happy. And that mini-comic! I died when I saw the puppy! The art was beautiful, the story oh-so cute, and the characters... ADORABLE! 🍂🍃

Heartwarming and cozy. I absolutely adore this graphic novel series and super excited to binge watch season 2 of the tv series. I am in awe of how closely the tv show matches it‘s source material. Love it! It‘s the perfect way for me to recap season 1 😂

With season 2 of Heartstopper right around the corner, I've boosted the graphic novels up my to-read list and will be diving in imminently! I'm so excited ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤.

Reread for in-person LGBTQ+ book club tonight. This time through I was struck by the creative use of panel shapes which mirror the emotions the characters are feeling. I also found Charlie‘s internal struggles to be more poignant. Finally, I enjoyed seeing remnants of web-comic format in the print copy, like reintroducing side characters. For instance Tao is noted as (Friend). I‘m excited to meet a new book club tonight and discuss.

Finally got this short & sweet book about crushes & love read. I was prompted by my #AuldLangSpine list from @Laughterhp (yes I‘m still working on the 12 books I selected to read-see the 💛Xs).

I don‘t read a lot of graphic novels but I loved the artwork & sentiments behind this one & it was a quick cross off for my last Kindle Spring Challenge “bookmark. I already downloaded the second book via Libby & will add it to my #SeriesLove2023 list.

I started reading this last week... Ended up binging the whole thing on Webtoons. I loved it!

A cute, quick read about high school and crushes.

Extremely short and oh so fluffy. Very interesting take on an out gay falling for the “token straight guy”. Especially when said guy starts questioning. The “I don‘t think he‘s straight” lines were amusing. Loads of talks on bullying, anxiety, identity, and overall peer pressure due to it all. Great exploration of identity in a safe space. Very adorable art style; simple yet emotionally powerful. #lgbtqa Biggest complaint is it‘s just too short

Luckily, I work a late shift today - which meant I had time this morning to run to Barnes and Noble to pick up the most exciting book releases of the summer! 🥰📚💕 I couldn't resist fawning over this absolutely adorable Heartstopper display!

Picked these up at the library today. I‘m thinking of rereading Heartstopper for the graphic novel and adapted into a tv series fields. Can anyone recommend a good book for set in South America or a South American author? Or any of the other categories?
