A collection of humorous comic strips following two (and then more) friends in their messy lives and queer experiences. The characters are heartfelt, and I enjoyed seeing their relationships grow. This style of comic never really resonates with me, so I can't speak to whether it will resonate with readers. #LGBTQIA #Humor #Comics

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I own so much of Emezi‘s work, I find it fascinating they can switch so seamlessly between genres.

I really enjoyed this one, it‘s about the seedy underbelly of New Lagos - so much sex and violence. It‘s definitely not for everyone but after reading the SA Crosby for #camplitsy and loving it, I think I have to admit to myself that I enjoy reading violent books 😂

Switches between characters for each chapter so you get different POVs.

Kitta Also #litsycrafters. I made the blanket! 1w
Kenyazero Sounds like an interesting read! Emezi‘s work always leaves you with something to think about. 1w

A collection of poetry, prose, and essays from the amazing nature writer Mary Oliver.

More than anything else, Oliver‘s writing has this ability to make me stop and just breathe. The consideration and care she gives to even the tiniest of moments, the fluttering of a bird‘s wings, rustling of leaves in the wind, is phenomenal. I just want to sink into her poems. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗

Forgot to put up a review for this! Such an informative and interesting graphic novel about 10 queer people who inspired them. I didn‘t know of most of them and it was great to learn some more queer history and understand the author‘s gender journey.

Written by a friend of a friend (who I don‘t know at all!) and was definitely worth a read.

Martyr!: A novel | Kaveh Akbar

I read a few books, Two #1001Books. Fresh Dirt from the Grave was mostly set in #Bolivia for #FoodandLit. It and Voyager are #WomeninTranslation. Patsy worked for #LGBTQIA2025 bingo and Three books were for #192025. Martyr! was just because I had been recommend it so many times.

Beautiful graphic novel (look at the page designs!) about gender identity and finding yourself.

Loved reading this on my new kindle coloursoft.

What would happen if a work home opened up inside an IKEA? Where would that wormhole lead to?

Lots of humour and action in this anti-capitalist multiverse novella. Ava has recently broken up with Jules and is called into work at LitenVärd on her fay off, hoping the won‘t run into Jules there, but things start to get weird when she goes in search of a missing shopper, lost in the store.

A world where you choose your own gender, and the magic of slackcraft can be learned and used to manipulate the elements. Interesting queer fantasy!

I enjoyed the first two more than the second two books, but they were low picks nevertheless.

Why did this end on a cliff hanger?? Does anyone know if more in this series are going to be published?

PuddleJumper Oh did it? That's frustrating! I think the last book was published 2019 so maybe not? 3w
Kitta @PuddleJumper there‘s so many unanswered questions and I want to know what happens with Rider! 3w
Kitta @PuddleJumper it ends with someone saying « now tell me your story » so it‘s a bit unsatisfying. 3w
PuddleJumper @Kitta Oh yeah, those endings can be annoying 3w
Kenyazero Sounds like another excellent entry by this author! 3w
