Reading The Spanish Love Deception and using my ACOTAR bookmark I painted 💙💜. Is it me or does Aaron Blackford and Rhysand have a lot in common?? Anyway, Aaron has a place in my heart forever!
I actually, surprisingly, really liked this book. I found it really entertaining and enjoyable. Will I read it agaiiiin? Eh, probably not. I liked it while it lasted, however-
Next read! I was gifted this one over the holidays 💕
Feels so good to finish a book. On Christmas break I felt like I was finishing something every day but it‘s been a week since I finished anything and it feels like some sort of relief.
But anyway I really liked this one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Characters weren't really likable, the beginning was rough for that reason. It was easier to like them after that but they weren't really fleshed out and there should have been more interaction with secondary characters.
I would have loved to laugh more, there weren't that many laughable scenes that I had hoped. This was still light read.
This should have been more edited, this was way too long.

Ugh. There's slow burn, SLOOOOOOOOOW burn, and then The Spanish Love Deception.
Absolutely no sparks or chemistry until 80% through the book. It was like wading through treacle. Tedious.
Also, reading about Aaron's blue eyes made me want to gauge my own out. I was so pleased when I finished this. I almost bailed, but my friend told me to stick with it as it was "so worth it." I can confirm that it's not worth it. ??
Catalina‘s sister‘s wedding‘s in 4 weeks, & she needs a date because her ex will be there along w/ his fiancée. Her handsome coworker Aaron offers to be her date. After spending more time w/ him, he starts to not seem so bad. Does he share her feelings?
This book was cute. Kind of worth the hype. I really liked both of the MCs, especially Aaron. The plot was stellar, but the writing could‘ve been better.
“You are right.” His voice was unspeakably flat. “Being your friend has always been the last thing on my mind.”
Because of her sister‘s upcoming wedding, Catalina told her family about her lover. But, the issue is she doesn‘t have a lover to bring. Her stern coworker, Aaron, who knew about her issue, made the decision to help her. Catalina and Aaron decided to start a fake relationship and flew to Spain. If you like books that involves fake relationship, I recommend this book. By utilising "I," "we," "us," and "our," the author employed first-person POV.
This was pretty good. Endearing romance and great family. I did want to shake Lina a lot of the time though 🤦♀️
Read this contemporary romance as a break (and to avoid finishing a book that drags a little) and it was ok, I guess. Some sweet moments, mature content (with, again, absolutely ridiculous moments in it), a dramatic resolution. Not a terribly original plot, so no surprises here either. Would love for the Spain part to have more flavor, but it is what it is.
This one is a low pick for me. It was a SLOW BURN! Nothing happened, not even a kiss until 75% in. Like it made sense for the story and their journey, but damn. I just kept waiting.. it‘s kind of an enemy to lovers romance, but only she thinks they‘re enemies. It‘s also a super long book for really no reason. And some things were very repetitive. But I read it in a day, so 🤷🏻♀️

This was really a lot of fun! I read book 2 in the series first, not realizing that it was a book 2…. So I‘m glad to have gone back and read this one now. Some repetition here and there, but I really enjoyed it. #ISpyBingo: Cursive font
I adored this book, from the start the chemistry between the leads was so palpable that I spent the rest of the book riding that initial high. Instead of telling me why Aaron and Lina should be together, I found that I was looking forward to the moment in which Lina realizes this for herself. I loved this from start to finish 🫶💕
Just reread The Spanish Love Deception for the second time and it‘s still a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 for me.
Another enemies to lovers trope! I think I might be obsessed with these haha! This one was worth the hype and is definitely worth a read if you‘re into rom coms. Funny and well written and though it wouldn‘t make my list of top fav books it was still pretty good!
This is one of those book where it starts of. S. L. O. W. But stick with it it does pick up and become an entertaining read both spicy and fun. Give it about 4 chapters. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ read. Would‘ve given it a pick but again slow start. #LittensLoveRomance
You always have my undivided attention, Catalina🥵
.....
Anything that bothers you matters to me, and I want to hear about it, nothing about is boring or doesn't interest me--- ever. Understand?
.....
When I finally kiss you, there won't be any doubt in your mind that it is real.

You feel complete in my arms, you feel like home💞

I'll give the world, the f*cling moon. the f*cling stars. Anything you ask, it's yours. I'm yours❤️

Should really try this one. It was kinda boring till 1st 5 chapter then it comes ❤️🔥. I liked how #elenaarmas wrote this book in a way it was funny, hot and emotional.
Aaron Blackford & Catalina Martin
She having issues in dating and being in relationship due to her past relationship and him, a person she hates, her colleague, offers a fake dating as a deal to her sister's marriage.
*Fake dating
*Forced proximity✨
*Enemies to lovers

This would make a cute movie, but in my opinion the book was unnecessarily wordy and long.
I didn‘t love this book but I liked it. Catalina‘s character drove me a little crazy because she was really stubborn in an idiot kind of way. Aaron was a little demanding for my taste. Overall I liked the story and I love fake dating tropes so that is what kept me interested. I enjoyed more of the second half of the book then I did the first. I will be reading more from this author.
Honestly, I found this hard going ... by the end I had warmed to it a little but it was too cliche for me and although I like a slow burn, there were times this felt needlessly repetitive.
I loved this! It's not very deep but it's a fun light hearted romance. Definitely a fun summer read!
Found that the plot lacked substance and also suddenly near the end are some very steamy scenes!! Kind of all over the place, but an easy read.
Belatedly joining #20in4 after a crazy day at work and then joining my local Bans Off Our Bodies protest. I don't know if I'm going to be able to read much this weekend or if I'll have a hard time focusing, but figured I could give it a shot with my 5 current reads.
This book got so SPICYYY at the end but I'm here for it. I didn't want to stop reading!!! I want to know all the things that happen in their lives. 4 stars. Next, I am going to be starting Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper. (finished this book 2 days ago forgot to post)

Not perfect, but a cute read. LOVED THE 🇪🇸 REPRESENTATION!! I noticed a shift in tone towards the climax/end of the book, which was weird? Felt rushed after a lot of building up, like it was trying to tie things together and start to introduce new drama. I really liked their tension during the vacation, but the arguments and clueless main were stupid and just so exaggerated. And then two pages later, they‘re hopelessly I‘d-die-for-you in love 😐
It‘s a stormy day, so I‘m giving this book a try. I will probably switch to real popcorn in a bit because looking at this squishable just makes me want some. 🍿

Loved it! Entertaining, swoony, cute and cheesy + Spanish 😻
Can Aaron get any more perfect?
So much fun! Great characters, effective enemies to lovers story with fake dating and ‘just-one-bed‘ thrown in. Deeper issues going on around grief and trust. A slow burn-I think the first kiss happens after pg 300! Great debut!
This book combines the fake dating and enemies to lovers trope in a perfect and sexy way. This is a slow burn, but trust me, it is totally worth the wait. I love how real Lina is. Her self-doubt and awareness of her past mistakes make her a very real and modern character. But Aaron's unconditional love for her brings her past all of that. Sweet, sexy, contemporary and feminist.
This was a slow burner for me, I was going to give up but so glad I didn‘t.
A wedding, a trip to Spain and spending three days with a ‘fake‘ boyfriend
Who doesn‘t want someone secretly in love with them? The whole story is based on a fake relationship which I was rooting for to become real. There is a lot of banter and the story is based around the work environment.
A cute rom-com and a great debut, can‘t wait for the authors next book 📕
This was so much fun!! Similar to The Hating Game (which I also loved). If you like work place romance I highly recommend.
