I‘ve been putting off reading this, I love the Brown sisters and I didn‘t want the series to be over. But at the same time I knew it would be amazing so I had to finally pick it up and it was just as good as I expected. It was funny,so sweet and just made me feel good.Jacob made me realize that Talia Hibbert writes the most amazing cinnamon roll heroes. And it was so fun to see Eve coming to understand who she is and what she wants for herself.

Another good book from Talia Hibbert. Not sure I liked it as much as Chloe or Dani Brown. But very good read, I especially appreciated the respect shown to Autistic people. Great job!

I love this author! Her romance books have “real” people in them with believable back stories and issues, but their problems/trauma don‘t make them unlovable. They make them more. The intimacy is, at times, a little too steamy for me. Surprised me, even though I‘ve read another from this author. They make me blush and I would be so embarrassed if someone knew what I was reading at those moments. Regardless, I wholeheartedly enjoyed this book.

It‘s been a busy start to week two of #Scarathlon2021 but I know that I‘ll be busy from Thursday-Saturday, so I‘m trying to get in as many books and movies as possible while I can! I‘m so glad I decided to give this series another shot. Get a Life, Chloe Brown really didn‘t work for me so I wasn‘t going to continue but I ended up thoroughly enjoying both Take a Hint, Dani Brown and Act Your Age, Eve Brown.

ravenlee I was surprised and pleased at how different they all were. I enjoyed them all. I was hesitant about Eve at first, because I didn‘t really like her in the other books, but it really worked. 4mo

What a freaking delightful read! I went into this one knowing that I was going to love it, but I did not expect to love it this much. Their were multiple times when I found myself smiling and giggling at Jacob and Eve's banters. I'm so sad that this book marks the end of Brown sisters trilogy but I'm SO GLAD it ended on such a high note!

Super cute rom-com, the third in the Brown Sisters trilogy. Eve is the flaky youngest sister, constantly starting projects and never finishing. When her parents threaten to cut her off, she talks herself into the chef job at a nearby B&B, which is owned by a prickly and precise man. Classic enemies-to-lovers ensues. I enjoyed this one!

For a romance grump, I was surprisingly into this whole series. Maybe I am turning a new corner.

I am impressed that Talia Hibbert's books address people going through ordinary life challenges, such as being in the spectrum. It makes the romance and the whole story seem more viable to me. I loved Jacob and Eve.

Mehso-so

3 ⭐️

I was excited to be introduced to a new Brown sister, but this was just meh. Eve was alright, but Chloe and Dani's personalities (as well as Gigi's) were not consistent with how they are portrayed in the first two books. The pace of the romance didn't feel so right- there needed to be more 'enemies' time apart from Eve being in the wrong and being rightfully kept at arms length.

Such an incredibly amazing book. Eve and Jacob - HILARIOUS. You‘d definitely have moments of literally laughing out loud. It‘s gentle, heartwarming and delightful. Even though they have completely different personalities, they both embraced each other's personalities and needs and not for a moment questioned them. Eve and Jacob accepted each other for who they were and that I absolutely adored.

I‘m so sad to see the Brown Sisters series end, but Eve certainly leaves us on a high note! This series is just so excellent, each book so damn hot and yet so damn wholesome, SERIOUSLY steamy, yet warm and fuzzy. Youngest Brown sister Eve is a bit of a beautiful mess, whose latest failure lands her at the unfailingly professional Jacob Wayne‘s adorable, strictly run B&B. I loved the setting, the humor, the neurodiversity, and the playlist! 🎶

I was getting a bit tired, so I drank coffee and made Nigella‘s chocolate chip cookies. They‘re gloriously soft, but I feel like they need another flavour in there. I‘ll have to ruminate on it, and also see how the flavour changes once they‘ve totally cooled off.

This round of #audiobaking took me to 11:23 for #deweyapril and to an hour from the end of ACT YOUR AGE, EVE BROWN. It‘s still lovely, but I think Dani‘s book is my favourite.

Eggs Those look amazing 🤤😋🥳 Try a dash of cinnamon?? 9mo
xicanti @Eggs thanks! 9mo
julesG Cinnamon is great, but my secret ingredient is nutmeg. A pinch of (freshly ground) nutmeg - or if you have it mace - can do wonders to biscuits and cakes. Doesn't work with all baking goods though and I can't use it if my goods go to friends with nut allergies, but you might give it a try. 9mo

Crazeedi Those look absolutely perfect! How do you keep from going flat??? And I think @julesG might be right 9mo
QuietlyLaura These look so good! Instant craving! 😍🤤 9mo
xicanti @julesG now I‘ve tasted the cooled cookies, I think it‘s a flour/sugar ratio thing, with perhaps a vanilla imbalance. The dough‘s closer to soft shortbread than the chewy stuff I expect from chocolate chip cookies. I MIGHT play around with it at some point, but I think I‘m more likely to just use another recipe next time. 9mo
xicanti @Crazeedi each cookie started with 1/4 cup of dough in a big, round mound. There was enough volume to begin with that they stayed pretty thick even as they spread out during baking. 9mo
julesG I'd probably go with a different recipe, too. 9mo

The sweater I made my mum for Christmas is officially unviable. I‘ve tried everything. I think the pattern was off to begin with, and this yarn just didn‘t have enough structure for that sort of garment.

Mum does love the yarn, though, so I‘m knitting her a shawl from the leftovers. She chose a Shetland lace cape that‘s been a ton of fun so far. It looks much nicer in person; I can‘t stretch it out enough with one hand. #audioknitting #deweyapril

AHEM.

Does anyone else feel like Talia Hibbert really upped the sexual ante with this one? Whew! 😅🌶🔥

I don‘t know if it‘s because of the neuro-atypical characters, who are very blunt & straightforward by nature, or if she‘s just gotten more comfortable with erotic writing after the success of her first two books...but this is definitely not for anyone who prizes modesty! Fortunately, I prefer immodesty. 😉

monalyisha 1/2: True to form, I stayed up til 2am reading. Also true to form, Hibbert hit her goal of “writ[ing] sexy, diverse romance...[that] gives marginalized people...honest and positive representation.” Any potential triggers are diligently logged in the Author‘s Note. Two nitpicks: I didn‘t find it hot when Jacob called Eve “woman.” And there could have been more decadent descriptions of the food she cooked (though I‘m glad there was no food sexplay). (edited) 9mo
monalyisha 2/2: Despite my minor complaints, this was a wholly enjoyable read! Though it‘s totally uncool to pit sisters against one another, I‘ve gotta say that Dani Brown is still my favorite. (edited) 9mo

“Point is...Jacob doesn‘t know how to boil an egg.”

“Yes,” Jacob growled, “I do.”

“Correction: Jacob was cursed by a witch at birth, so no matter how carefully he follows a recipe, it always comes out like shit.”

*Well, that succinctly explains my lack of culinary prowess. 😂

This was my favorite of the Brown sisters books! I enjoyed the setting in a B&B and loved Eve finding her way to a new life after failing at several other attempts. Jacob was an interesting love interest too. They were funny together, especially at first. I would love one more book with all three sisters someday, but I can also just imagine how things go from here. These books are steamy in places, if that matters to you as a reader.

Highly anticipated, after loving the first two Brown sisters, and this one did not disappoint. I will always love a story that starts with a woman fleeing to a small town and immediately finding work at a bakery, or in this case, at a Bed & Breakfast, and clashing with the super hot owner. So it's kind of a enemies to lovers trope but with a few spins that keep it more interesting. ↘️
#romantsy

ReadingEnvy Autism is included in multiple ways and never as a problem to be dealt with.
I like how the other two sisters show up, but I also would like single volume romance novels about the grandmother Gigi, Jacob's friend Mort, his twin sisters, etc.

Like with the previous Brown sisters books, I laughed a lot while reading this one. I'm going to say Dani is my favorite; Eve is pretty chaotic as many youngest sisters are, but she is finding her own way.
