Really obsessed with Karin Slaughter! I love the main characters and the stories about them. This part of the Grant County series was so enjoyable! Always keeps me guessing.
Another good showing from Karin Slaughter. In rural Catooga County, a church/farm experiences a higher than normal number of deaths. Is this simply due to the nature of recovering addicts they serve or something more sinister? Twists and drama make this an entertaining #crime #thriller. Narration in a southern dialect (note I didn‘t say “kuntry”) adds some Georgian flavor.
I loved this installment of Karin Slaughter‘s Grant County series. It was so much better than the 3th and 4th! This one is about a religious community where strange things happen and no one wants to talk. Of course there is a gruesome murder, but also lots of twists and strong characters. My favorite Sara Linton book so far! One more book to go.

I haven't read a bad plot by Slaughter so far. Great book, a page turner. Feat: Yume 🐶 #Faithless #KarinSlaughter #book #bookaholic #booklovers #ler #leitura #leitora #reading #instabook #instaread #instabooks #bookstagram #litsy #booklover #readingabook #vero #Sha2018 #taglivros
I generally like Karin Slaughter‘s books and this one was no exception. Although I will have to say the domestic violence aspect of the plot angered me — not because it was bad (it wasn‘t) — but because the very idea that there are people out there who would do such things to the people they claim to love just enrages me. Good characters and plot, and a mostly satisfying ending.
A well written thriller that explores our preconceived beliefs about the religious. Yes, some are bad but most are good, just like all groups. The murders were horrifying and played on my fears. The resolution of the murder was satisfying. The personal lives of the detectives was not as satisfying for me but not bad either. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ book 📚
YESSSSS here is the relationship and banter that I want with Jeffrey + Sara, and I am even happy with where Lena is at the end of this book. ( I think. I‘m always afraid to say with her-she‘s such a wild card.)
The crime/procedure isn‘t my favorite of the series but I love the way Lena + Jeffrey + Sara work together in and out of the office.
KSlaughter always scares me for what‘s coming up on the literal last page or two. GASP + bring on book 6.
This is the fifth book (out of six) in the Grant County Series and they‘ve switched audiobook narrators!!?? Oh my gosh! Kathleen Early is so awesome at reading these books! I‘m having a mini-meltdown over this!
WHY CHANGE, WHY? 😩😩😩🙇🏻♀️
My mother-in-law and I have been trading this series back and forth this year. It‘s such a great series, and the characters are solid, real people. I also love that my MIL and I bond over books so much. She‘s the best!
Today's unexpected book haul from my favorite little used book store #Otisandclementine Now the dilemma is, which book do I start to read. One of these or one of the four I bought yesterday 😳😳😳 thanks to @Shemac77 for the gift card. I got all of these thanks to you!!!
