From an exhibit we viewed Sunday, at the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford. (Un) Settled The Landscape in American Art. It was fascinating, mesmerizing, awe inspiring. To start off we lunched at their cafe- various delicious sandwiches & drinks. Lovely family time. #makingmemories
Just got home from a visit to NYC via train with my son to see John Singer Sargent‘s exhibit at the MET. An added bonus was a separate exhibit featuring his younger sister Emily‘s paintings. #makingmemories
@Butterfinger treated me today to the most amazing visit and lunch at the Daniel Boone Inn Restaurant. What a wonderful person you are Tammy! And your daughter (who took our photo) too! We had a great time. Clearly we‘ve already been friends a long time even if we hadn‘t met in person before. And this restaurant was so unique. A one of a kind and delicious experience. I‘ll treasure this #litsymeetup forever.
Yesterday my son & I enjoyed another #makingmemories day in NYC.The cold,damp,& rain did not deter us! We took a 6:10 a.m. Amtrak train to the Metro North line which let us out at Grand Central Station.Breakfast for me was 2 mini bacon quiches & Starbucks coffee. Perfect start to my day! The MET exhibit was truly breathtaking. I love how the drawings, etchings, & oil paintings took us through Friedrich‘s artistic & spiritual life chronologically.

I did manage to finish the last little bit my #audiobook on the highway though. I'm not sure if I need a break from the series or what but I wasn't feeling this story as much as the others. It was good, but not great. One more to go!
