This is my favorite mystery series, and this was another good reading experience. The case echos the one in the first book, and there are several connections to the original story. As always, there‘s just as much happening between the recurring characters as in the mystery. I can‘t wait to see what‘s next for Ruth.
I moved in December and my new place has a room for (not quite) all my books. This big chair is becoming my #FavoriteReadingSpot and it will be even better now that I have found this little table where I can put my drink. I hope to finish the tagged book in here this weekend. #SelfImprovementSept
This book doesn‘t fit any of the reading goals I just set for September but I think I‘m going to read it over this holiday weekend! This is my favorite series.
As always I loved being back with Ruth, Nelson & their archeological mysteries. I wish I was just discovering this series so I wouldn't have to wait for book 12!
Nearly half way through and enjoying this one immensely! It's #11 in my favourite series.
This really has become my favorite series. This most recent book has references to the first book, and takes the reader down some blind alleys that make it more difficult to figure out whodunnit. More archaeology in this book than the last couple, which I enjoyed.
“Why didn‘t you tell me that you knew Leif?” says Judy
“You didn‘t ask,” says Cathbad.
This cracked me up, because I have gotten the same answer so many times from my husband that it‘s a family joke. I showed this to him, and he howled😂
Started this book this morning while I was waiting to see the surgeon for my post-op checkup. Got the best news, that the pathology was negative. So I don‘t have to worry about that and can focus on Ruth‘s latest mystery. (Raided my grandson‘s rock collection for the picture 😂 )
I very much enjoyed this latest installment about Dr Ruth Galloway and the other great characters! #books
Went a little farther afield today, as I feel better and have more energy after surgery. Hubby took me to lunch at our favorite Greek place, then wanted to go to the main library. Who am I to say no?😎 Picked up these two for me. I haven‘t read a Lady Emily mystery in quite a while, and of course l couldn‘t resist the latest Ruth Galloway installment.
This is what I picked to read this month, it does seem a lot but hopefully will manage them all or most! #tbr
I was happy to see this series get back to the archaeology at least a LITTLE bit. I still hate the love triangle and wish she would resolve it!! Happy the series is still going, though, so I guess I shouldn‘t complain too much!!
Lots of reading outside today. ❤️🇺🇸
I was going to head to the beach today but decided I didn‘t want to fight holiday traffic. Plus, staying home means more reading time!
Really enjoyed finishing this latest Ruth Galloway mystery on my front porch with my morning tea.
I‘m always a little sad when I finish a book in this series. Because I get caught up in the story and read quickly, and then it‘s over and I have to wait for a new one all over again. This one was another great addition to the series.
I'm so excited for this #ReleaseDay book!
ARC of the 11rh in the Ruth Galloway series. A 2nd henge is found near the site of the henge from Ruth and Nelson‘s 1st case together. Then both Ruth and Nelson start to receive letters very like those from that case-but the original writer is dead. Things really start to heat up when the bones of a young female are found at the henge site. Love this series-fantastic addition. Interesting mystery and series is moved along well. 4.5/5.0 ⭐️ #2019
Decided to try to participate in the #24B4Monday readathon even though my younger son has a soccer tournament all weekend and we are going to see Avengers Endgame tonight. Started this morning but forgot to set my timer😕😝 Oh, well! 🤷🏼♀️
Thanks to Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishers and NetGalley for a copy of this book for an honest review.
11th installment Ruth Galloway series, Ruth and DCI Nelson are haunted by a ghost from their past, just as their future lands on shaky ground. They have received letters similar to those from the past and Ruth has discovered more human bones during her present archeological dig called The Stone Circle, another henge on the saltmarsh.
Friday night fever!
It‘s a great day when you come home to a book you‘ve been anxiously awaiting. All the way from The UK to VA! Can you tell I‘m excited to start this one???
Exited about this one! Number 11 in the series.
