I'm starting this challenge today, and since there's 31 days in January, I'll just post the first prompt today. One of my favorite series is Harry Potter, and my favorite book is Half Blood Prince. I think it's also the first HP book I listened to on audiobook, which introduced me to the magic of Jim Dale. I listened to it a lot, and it got me through a rough time in my life.

How did you choose this book: Next book in series
Write a brief summary of the novel who was the protagonist what was the problem and how was the problem resolved? The protagonist is Harry Potter
The problem is that Harry must collect six Horcruxes belonging to the evil Voldemort to turn him mortal again. Harry discusses his plans with Hermione and they decide to hunt down the horcruxes
date started: november 16th 2019
date completed: November 25th 2019
what made you chose this book? I chose this book because it looked interesting and because I love harry potter.
I managed to do some #audiobaking! This cake is for my aunt and uncle‘s “Suck It, Grandma!” Christmas Eve party. Once a year or so, we all get together and eat stuff she refused to touch, like Chinese food and chocolate cake. I went with Nigella‘s chocolate fudge cake, done as a 3-layer instead of the 2-layer specified in the recipe, and I think I‘m gonna frost it with sour cream chocolate icing. I‘ll decide closer to the date.
I had a use-stuff-up special for supper tonight: Tom Yum soup liberally spiked with dipping fish sauce and seeded with noodles, mushrooms, kale, tomato, green onion, and turkey.
Between cooking and dishes, I‘ve made a pretty good start on HPB. I still find that I‘m really, really excited about rereading these later books. I‘m gonna be sad when I finish the series. #audiocooking
Can‘t resist sharing these happy faces. We are really having a blast in The Wizarding World.
Before I start, shout out to my Fortnite-obsessed kiddo for setting up this photo. He really wanted to included his Harry Potter Fortnite skin in the pic.
I had a (brief) departure from my Harry Potter re-read but am now back at it with J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. This feels SO much as just a lead-in to the grand finale that in some ways, assessing Half-Blood Prince on its own merits is difficult. ⬇️
Most of you guys know I‘m a knitter....and most would guess I‘m crazy about Potter but....last night I got to combine my two loves when I made these knitting stitch markers. I got the idea from Etsy....someone was selling the same thing for 50$. I made mine from under 20$ ;). I am going to order that sellers Doctor Who stuff though. #knitter #happiness #potterhead #Potterverse
#2 When young Harry Potter ventures into his second last year at Hogwarts he suspects that something strange is going on. He is also convinced the Draco Malfoy, his enemy in his very own year, bares Voldemorts dark mark. Is Harry going to win? Find out by reading this book as Harry prepares to face what lies ahead. If you like books that have suspense then this is your book. I also think that this book was a fast read because I really enjoyed it.
Genre: Fiction, Fantasy, Adventure, Action, Mystery
Date Started: October 1, 2019
Date Completed: December 29, 2019
How did you choose this book: I decided to read and complete the Harry Potter series.
“But for heaven's sake — you're wizards! You can do magic!“
Scrimgeour turned slowly on the spot and exchanged an incredulous look with Fudge, who really did manage a smile this time as he said kindly, “The trouble is, the other side can do magic too, Prime Minister.”
(I can't be the only person who thinks of sci-fi/fantasy world connections while reading every assigned text for my classes, can I?)
harry potter re-read continues ✨ going to try and get this one done cause we got tickets to see Half Blood Prince in concert in October and i‘m so excited about it!! i‘ve never actually seen the movie (i‘m a snob and just think the books are better) so i‘m even more excited that my first viewing will be quite an experience 🐍🐍🐍
Oh my. I know why I hate getting to this book. It‘s such a sad read. Love my HP ..strange watching/hearing/reading as the characters go through their growing pains... I‘m going to try to re-read the last book but the 1st time through was heartbreaking.
I can't help it. Now, when I'm reading HP that isnt in illustrated format, in the back of my head I'm trying to wish it into my existence at that very moment.
I know it's the words that make the story...im just so in love with the illustrated editions that I wish wish wish they were all released already for me to Ohhh and Ahhh over.
Still loving the story though. I'm just sayin is all. 🤷♂️
The boys and I finished our NEWTs and we look forward to our future magical careers! Through the month of August my boys and I participated in the #newtsreadathon2019 and I am so proud of my kiddos for all of the reading they have done over the month (and over this past summer as a whole)!!! The #magicalreadathon2019 is always so much fun to take part in and a great chance to bond with my little guys ❤️💙💚💛
FINALLY finished my reread. Life just got in the way of finishing in a time frame that I wanted. These books never get old and I always notice something new with each reread. HP has my heart! Love the series. I will say that the action doesn‘t really happen in this book until the last few chapters. Everything before it gets a bit repetitive at times.
Every year as soon as September hits I fall into Harry Potter again.
I always wonder if this is the year that I'll pass on my re-read of Harry & friends and use that precious time for other unread books instead.
Whelp. Guess this isn't that year. No planned reading order this time. Just gonna go with the flow and read 'em (or listen) as the mood strikes me.
Half Blood Prince is first up. 🤘
I know I‘m obviously like 25 years behind the curve. However, this is my first time reading beyond the 1st book of the HP series, or I should say listening to the HP series. Audiobooks are my new addiction and I‘m so happy I waited a few weeks so I could join the potter-heads! I have screamed and laughed out loud in my car and I look forward to my daily commute. 2 weeks until I wrap up the series with the Deathly Hallows- I cant wait!
1. Nothing really pops to mind because I eat small amounts of whatever I want to keep myself from going insane. But I do on occasion drink too much Mt Dew! 😬
2. My French copies of the last two Harry Potter books I found at the used bookstore. 🤓
3. Tagged. I‘ve gotten little else read the last few weeks as I make my way through HP for the third time. ⚡️
4. @Avanders @Gissy @GingerAntics @MrBook
Got to meet up with @hermyknee at #LeakyCon #LittensIRL we listened to author panels with Hafsah Faizal, Mark Oshiro, Mackenzie Lee, Nic Stone, and Angie Thomas and we were in an ELEVATOR with TOM FELTON!
I kicked off #24b4Monday just after midnight (thank you, insomnia...), so I just finished my first book of the weekend! The end of this book is always heart-breaking, but I‘m feeling ready to take on the last book and finish the series soon.
Time so far: 19 mins

DAY 4 of #thereadingrush
I‘m happy with the progress I‘ve made so far! I‘m very close to finishing the Half-Blood Prince, and I was able to get through some of What to Expect today too. I‘m excited to see how the weekend goes!
Tomorrow starts the #24b4Monday readathon! I‘m excited to finish up #thereadingrush and hopefully all the books I wanted to get done. These are the four books I‘m hoping to read. Goal is the full 24 hours.

DAY 3 of #thereadingrush
I‘ve managed to finish a book a day so far this week! Today was Daisy Jones and the Six. I also made progress in Half-Blood Prince. Total pages was 468.
The Reading Rush website finally started working for me, for the most part, so hopefully that doesn‘t change tomorrow!
Fantastic morning in the sun and now we're having lunch and Isla is reading Harry Potter to me 😊 Such an amazing reader for 7👍🏻
Day 4 of the summer holidays ☀️🍹😍
