I made Kalaallit Kaagiat, a raisin and cardamom bread, using the automatic translation of this page: https://mamarisavut.gl/da/opskrifter/groenlandsk-kage-med-aeggepulver/ The English recipes I found online were a lot sweeter, which didn't appeal as much. It was like a slightly cardamom-scented pannetone & perfect with coffee.

Police Constable just completed her training when she lands a missing person‘s case. She travels far north to investigate, where she is immersed in the beauty of the land & its people. I enjoyed this short novella & want to read more of this author‘s work.

Since I‘m reading this book for #foodandlit I feel obligated to describe what these starving men had to do and eat as they trekked across part of #Greenland. I picked this one because I liked the analogy of the “snowball on the fires of hell.” @Catsandbooks

I enjoyed this novella set in Greenland. It‘s the prequel to a series of mysteries set in the country by a Danish author so I want to try and seek out more if I can find them in English. This is actually the second or third mystery I‘ve read set in Greenland and for whatever reason they work for me. #FoodAndLit #Greenland
