Spoiler Alert is my #bookspin and This Love Hurts is my #doublespin. I'm so happy to be participating this month! I hope I can finish Spoiler Alert, I'm having a hard time getting into it. I think I have a #bookhangover

The movie Fried Green Tomatoes has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. I read the book about 10 years ago and enjoyed it. I wanted to do a reread before I read the sequel that came out recently. I decided to grab the #audiobook and I‘m so glad I did! It really brings the story to life and now I think it‘s better than the movie. I‘ve always felt the movie, while amazing, has the tone of being a bit depressing, although there are lots of ⬇️

JenlovesJT47 Funny moments as well. But the tone of the book is more lighthearted and is actually quite funny, although it still has the major plot points of the movie. I love the small-town vibe and the sense of community in Whistle Stop. I love how accepting everyone is about Ruth and Idgie‘s relationship, and unlike the movie, they are both clearly in love with each other and the town treats them like a married couple raising Ruth‘s son. The movie makes ⬇️ 2mo
JenlovesJT47 It more one-sided on Idgie‘s part. I freaking love Evelyn Couch and her relationship with Ninny Threadgoode. I teared up a few times and didn‘t want this to end. I devoured it in 4 days. The narrator does a great job and I feel like I have a #bookhangover — all this to say if you enjoy the movie you will definitely like this. Highly recommended to historical fiction lovers. 5⭐️ (edited) 2mo

This one was a lot of fun to read with #sundaybuddyread group. It was suspenseful with likable characters and spooky too. Kitty was a strong female lead. This took place in an asylum where Kitty works as a nurse. Of course, she starts to investigate the hauntings and question how the men are being treated by the doctors. A great read. #audiobook #bookhangover

Wow. I'm sad that this quiet suburban horror is over. I loved every minute of this eerie journey. #bookhangover

I left my #weeklyforecast until later in the day as I couldn‘t figure out what I wanted to read this week…but I still can‘t!

The three books shown here are all ongoing; Sunset is on audio and only about an hour to go so I should do that this week, even though no time for audio walking. The other two I‘m completely engrossed in, which probably isn‘t helping the choice for next books. #bookhangover incoming!

TrishB I already don‘t want to read what I posted this morning! 4mo
rockpools I LOVE that Sunset cover. Have a good week Helen. 4mo
