🙊🙊🙊 Trying SO hard not to say anything or share any spoilers! 🫣🫣🫣 When you get there, you‘ll know what this means. 🙊🙊🙊 If you don‘t catch it before the book explains, it‘s not long after. 🤐🤐🤐

#TLT #ThreeListThursday @dabbe

I got so excited reading other people's scores, I forgot to post my own! 😂 My best score to date. I have a feeling that'll be true for all of us as we get closer to #1. 🤞
Faves:
1. DeeLite: “The Groove is in the Heart.“ I cannot NOT move when hearing this one.
2. U2: “With or Without You.“ Favorite on THE JOSHUA TREE ALBUM = college survival.
3. The Who: “My Generation.“ I love the stuttering! 😂

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I totally agree with you about Groove Is In the Heart. The song hits, and suddenly, I'm doing the hustle and a slow body roll. 🤣 2mo
dabbe @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick And who is the guy at the end talking? I've never been able to figure that out. He sounds like Eddie Murphy, but I just don't know. 🤩😂🤗 2mo
bthegood OMG - the video for Groove is in the Heart - love this!! 🙂 2mo

peaKnit Agree on Dee-Lite, it requires dancing! 2mo
dabbe @peaKnit In the nerdiest (which, of course mean COOLEST) way possible! 🖤🕺🖤 2mo
Suet624 Oh boy! Deee-Lite! Yes indeed. So many of their songs get me up dancing. (edited) 2mo
dabbe @Suet624 How can you not, right? 🤩🕺🤩 2mo
Suet624 I saw the Who in 1969 (they sang the entire Tommy album) and then saw them again in 2019 at Fenway Park. The 2019 concert was phenomenal with a full orchestra behind them. Again, a lot of Tommy in the 2019 concert. I cried and shouted-sang through a lot of that concert. There are a lot of videos on YouTube of that Fenway concert if you‘re interested. Soooo good. 2mo
dabbe @Suet624 I am so jealous! To have seen them in 1969 = #mindblown. I did see TOMMY on Broadway in the early 90s, but that's it. I'll have to check out that concert at Fenway. Thanks for the rec. 🤗🤗🤗 2mo

Started this one after Kim Jiyoung. Had been debating getting a new therapist, but by the end of the intro I knew it was time! I downloaded the PDF of the questionnaires and wow talk about clarity! I don‘t know if any real healing has happened yet, but someone is ready for therapy now. Very clear how both my mother and grandmother expressed their emotional immaturity. Talk about an eye opener!

GingerAntics I mean, I knew they were both abusive in their own ways, but I always thought of my grandmother as the mature one… the adult in our house. Turns out, NOPE! Just as immature as her daughter. #LindsayCGibsonPsyD #AdultChildrenOfEmotionallyImmatureParents #audiobook #busbook #mindblown #newperspective #therapy #therapyhereicome #eyeopener 6mo

Dandelion Wine | Ray D Bradbury

1* “Energy or matter can neither be created nor destroyed”, ergo it seems unthinkable that the end is really the end. Or at least we console ourselves with that thought. The finest, most lovely description of after-death I‘ve ever heard is in the tagged book in the chapter about great grandmother ‘s death.
2* Reincarnation v time travel-compatible or synonymous???
3* Is it possible to function without ego?Can one be successful without it?Are we⬇️

Eggs …born with it? How much ego is enough? That‘s more like 5 questions 🤔 #TLT curious about… 8mo

Velvetfur Oh that fascinates me about energy - the only thing animating this collection of bones, muscles etc is electrical impulses in the brain, and electricity doesn't die, so when we stop animating this lump of flesh surely we move on to somewhere else....? A new body, to start a new life all over again? That's how I think of it anyway! Thanks for the thought-inspiration for the day ☺️ 8mo
TheLudicReader My mom always used to say what you‘ve said in #1. ❤️ 8mo
Eggs @Velvetfur Thanks for your comment and insight 👏🏻👏🏻 8mo
Eggs @TheLudicReader ☺️🥰 8mo
dabbe #1: In one of the books I read that made me a doubter (50 REASONS PEOPLE GIVE FOR BELIEVING IN GOD), this idea was scientifically explained, and it made me feel so much better about death and my loved ones who are gone. Their energy is still here, just in a different form. That brings such solace to my 💜!
#s 2 and 3: #mindblown 🤩

TieDyeDude I should give Dandelion Wine another try. I was listening on audio just after we moved, but I think I was too distracted with chores and tasks. I fluctuate between fascinated and apprehensive over the idea of death. 8mo
Eggs @dabbe Death v Life so mystical…again I defer to reincarnation/time travel so deftly handled between Bill Forester and Helen Loomis in 8mo
Eggs @TieDyeDude I think the audiobook has its merits but only after reading it slowly and imagining its scenarios. I hope you enjoy 😊 8mo

1. A Mazda Miata named “My Blizz”––best car there is! 🤩
2. A 69‘ Mustang convertible. My friend Jeanne had a red one in high school. Cruising to get pizza for lunch with the top down, we‘d think nobody was cooler than us. #everyteensdream
3. The Mercedes that Axel Foley‘s “girl”friend drives in Beverly Hills Cop. #notmadethatwayanymore

Play and Share! 🖤💜🖤

xicanti The 69 Mustang convertible is my ultimate car—especially in orange with a black racing stripe! One drove by my house once and it seriously made my month. Everyone got tired of hearing about it. 9mo
jamield1911 VW Beetle. My first car and I loved it so much. I cried when I had to get rid of her 😭😭😭 9mo

Amiable Thanks for the tag! I‘m so not a car person. As long as it gets me where I want to go, I don‘t even notice what it is. 😀 One of my brothers bought a Lamborghini a few years ago. He was annoyed when I wasn‘t impressed and actually asked what that was. 😄 9mo

AnnR Thanks for the tag @dabbe. Fun question, although I never learned how to drive a stick shift. I think now I just prefer vehicles that are more utilitarian and hopefully comfortable. One notices ouchies on longer droves as the years go by. 9mo

kspenmoll I was surprised that I enjoyed this book as much as I did. 1y
GingerAntics @kspenmoll I am seriously loving this one. I loved the first two, but heard mixed-leaning-toward-negative reviews about this one. I am not getting anything negative from this one at all. 1y
kspenmoll @GingerAntics In my experience, her portrayal of a female with Autism is so accurate. 1y
GingerAntics @kspenmoll in mine as well. I swear, I feel like she‘s describing me. It‘s a joy to listen to, even the sad/hard/rage inducing parts. 1y

So my hubby made it his personal mission to open the tea jar that wouldn‘t open yesterday. After trying various tools the kitchen shears successfully opened them. There is this gripper part in the middle of the handle. I never knew what they were for. I don‘t know if it is meant to open tea jars, but that is what we are going to use them for now.

CBee Oh my goodness! I never knew this either #mindblown 🤯 2y
Soubhiville I‘ve also used it to crack open nuts. 🤷‍♀️ 2y
TEArificbooks @Soubhiville oh that is a good idea. Ironically my mom asked if I had a good nutcracker cause her coworker gifted her with a bunch of in-shell mixed nuts and I said no so went a bought one today 😂 2y

peanutnine I did NOT see that coming! Why does everyone have so many names?? 2y
peanutnine Also I love how she knew all along but didn't inform us #rude 2y
BarkingMadRead @peanutnine so freaking rude 2y
Ruthiella Me either! More fuel to my pet peeve that ONE CAN SPOIL A CLASSIC! I don‘t care how long it has been since first published! 2y
AnneCecilie I didn‘t see that coming at all 😯 2y
suvata Whoa! She knew about Dr. John all along? Talk about an unreliable narrator. 2y
Bklover It didn‘t even occur to me that she knew all along! I thought she realized it when she saw his mom since she hadn‘t seen him for years. But that makes no sense does it. It‘s not been that many years since she saw him. Wow. That was a dirty trick. And does anyone else find it odd that Dr John or GB or whatever his name is conveniently rescues her AGAIN?! @peanutnine The multiple name thing makes me crazy. 🙄🙄 (edited) 2y
Clare-Dragonfly Right?! At first I was like “how did she not recognize him before?!” And then it turns out she did 😒 2y
KristiAhlers Yeah I did a total WHAAAA? And I totally agree the multiple name thing is insane. Unless it‘s a name for each of his personalities 🤣 2y
Daisey This was definitely a surprising chapter; not at all anything I was expecting! 2y
SamAnne This novel just turned Crazy Town! 2y
