This book was really enjoyable and heartbreaking 🥲❤️ Even though it ended with a lot of unanswered questions, I‘m super glad I took the time to read this trilogy 🥰

3✨ I was making sure I finished this one before next month. Overall, I enjoyed the series. The ending was okay. It had quite a bit of sad moments, and it had hope as well. The characters really made this story for me. The plot was fine, but the characters are what shine. #SeriesLove @TheSpineView @Andrew65

Audio. There was very little to no recap for the previous books (or if there was, I missed it). Most of the characters have two names – their real name and their nickname, so it‘s hard to remember who is who sometimes, especially when not fully engaged/interested in what I‘m listening to. There were two different narrators, one male and one female, but more than two different viewpoints. Cont in comments...

4.5 ⭐️ for book one
4 ⭐️ for book two
3.5 ⭐️ for book three
This is the first series I‘ve read in years. The first book was good enough to invest in the whole series, in my opinion.

I liked this book and didn‘t like it at the same time. Cassie seemed to only care about Evan and whether or not she loved him and not the alien invasion and people dying. The rest of the characters were just fillers to make a longer book. To me, it lacked the major woah moments of the last two books.

Going back into the fire. The losses of life in this book is felt hard. Be prepared to be sad. A good ending to a good series. Who will win? Evil or Hope? Others or Humans? Maybe both in their own ways? Don't lose hope and always have faith in love. I enjoyed finding out who the last star was...

I liked it but I didn't love it. The first two books were better. I thought the ending was predictable and there was not much in further character development or world building. Still I enjoyed it. Glad though I borrowed from the library instead of buying. Not good enough to spend money on.
"The Silencer priest felt them inside of me-I thought they were gone, I thought I had lost them, but you never lose those who love you, because love is a constant; love endures.
Someone's arms are lifting me up: Razor's.
Someone's hands steady me: Teacup's.
Someone's smiling is giving me hope: Zombie's
I should have told him when I had the chance how much I love the way he smiles.
I rise."
I recommend this book because the character development is great. There is a lot of depressing death, but I think it is important for the character development. Rick Yancey shows the characters behind their mask by having sections of different character's point of view. This is a great read and I suggest reading the rest of the series before this one.

I finally finished reading the 5th wave series and I highly enjoyed this series overall but I am so upset about the ending of this book. But it still was an amazing read for me it was just a bittersweet and sad ending that I can‘t even stop thinking about that ending. Ugh !

Today‘s #colormepretty is #brown!
I liked the Fifth Wave series, and now a friend is reading it and I can‘t wait to discuss things with her.
Ship Breaker is a great book, but I like the sequel (The Drowned Cities) better. It‘s set on a dystopian Earth after mass climate change and the sequel features a badass woman amputee as the main character!!
Hounded I liked, but I have problems with most urban fantasy, and this series is no exception.

I was a bit disappointed in the ending to this eerie, atmospheric trilogy. There are more mind games and senseless deaths, as well as musings on what it means to be human. I didn‘t connect with the characters all that much, and the ending, though it made sense, wasn‘t wholly satisfying.

Only read this one because I couldn‘t figure out where the series was going. Could have been one book. Not a fan.

DNF I‘ve absolutely had it with this series and I can‘t take it anymore
Progress made: 48%

A while back I remember reading that B&N was going to start laying off/downsizing, then I was told that it had been projected that they will go bankrupt/out of business in the near future. I held out hope until we went today... I have NEVER seen so many books bargained price. The only one we paid full price for was Invasion. All of the other hardbacks were so cheap! Makes me happy to get so many, but sad to think it could mean the end. 😕

⭐️⭐️
Filler, filler, more filler, and a rushed conclusion to such a promising series. I am such a fan of the first book - but the rest of the series struggled from there. I feel like there was nothing but death encircling false resolution - characters had taken a complete 180, and anything that made them unique and interesting was not discussed. Plot-wise, the story lost its quest and purpose, and diluted the traction of the story.

I'm currently reading The Last Star as part of my promise to finally finish those series this year. I can't say I'm looking forward to it since I wasn't a fan of the first two, but I can't wait to get it over with either. 😆

I had a hard time in the beginning since it was so long since I had read the books but caught up easily. Good last book for the series, answered several questions and definitely opened it up for another

Horrible! The only reason I didn‘t bail on this book was because it was the last in the series and wanted to know how it ended. I couldn‘t stand how the author would just switch from 2nd and third person writing viewpoints throughout the book, it drove me nuts. The whole series was very confusing and hard to follow. I really think the way he wrote it was more dedicated to getting a movie deal than just having a good book. Very disappointed 😔
I expected so much more from this book. I mean, i loved the other two. And this one beggins "well"... But it gets worse with every chapter. The characters are stupid af and the story is the same all the time, there are no changes. If the second book has a big reveal, i expect to find something interesting about it in the third. But nope. A disappointment for me, sorry ?.
I've just started this book and i'm... Nervous. I liked the other two in the series but i always read bad things about this one. 😯

Another really good audiobook. This series is very well written, and I absolutely love that it wasn't like so many other contrived YA dystopian that I have read. No real love triangle, and I don't think I rolled my eyes even once!
Lots of action and deep subject matter that makes you think about what it is to be human. I was not crazy about the way the story ended, but I can respect the direction it went.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Burning through this last book of the series on my #audiowalk today. The weather couldn't be more perfect, but I could do without the shin splints. 😫

Total fangirl moment when one of your favorite authors likes your comment! This was in response to @bookriot post about the most purchased YA novels for each state in 2016, and Rick Yancey's The Last Star was first in about 3/4 of the US.

So Adult life requires me to go MIA on the weekends (when I work) so I never really post. Here's a mini book haul even though one of those books could really be 5 books because it's over 1000 pages. #bookhaul #it #thelaststar #stephenking #rickyancey

I don't know how I feel about The Last Star. Like all the books in this series, it was fabulously written. Yancey's reflections on what it means to be human were profound. And I think this was an accurate portrayal of what humans will probably be like as we near the end of the world. But it wasn't a really satisfying ending. While I didn't expect to have warm, gushy, happily-ever-after feelings, all the deaths left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Read my book and drank my pink drink, yesterday was a great day.

Hey book friends🙋🏻✨ I woke up with Strep Throat yesterday, and have been sleeping for the past 16 hours😷😴I've been drinking chamomile tea to help soothe my throat...what's your favorite kind of tea?

"But her throne's tilted down," Sam said, looking at the constellation. "Won't she fall out?"
Zombie cleared his throat. "She won't fall. Her throne is turned that way so she can keep watch over her realm."
"What's a realm?"
Zombie pressed his hand against Sam's chest
"This is." Zombies hand to Sam's heart. "Here."

"The world ends. The world begins again."
About to finish this one today or tomorrow.
So curious about the ending.

Not at all how I imagined the conclusion of this series. But I really enjoyed it. A little angsty at times, but such a interesting story.
Kept waiting for there to be a trite love triangle but that never happened, which was a pleasant surprised. It was hinted at but never came to fruition.
Would definitely recommend to lovers of YA dystopian.
The paperback finally came out so I bought it to finish the series. Super quick and easy read. I like his style of writing , especially when it is Cassie's pov. Ending seemed very meh. I wasn't shocked or happy about anything. I wonder if they plan to make the other 2 movies of this series or not. #BookReview

Even though I loved this series, Cassie never quite evolved like the other characters did until the very end. I never quite liked her. I'd label her a #DramaQueen #Characters2017 – This is the last book the series, the first being 'The 5th Wave'.

These audiobooks are done really well but the last book left me underwhelmed. Some amazing writing and incredible language, made better by the voice actors. However, I found myself disappointed in the ending of an otherwise fantastic series.

My plans for today is to read Rick Yancey The last star finish #readingaddict #readingtime #read #reading #book #books #books4life #books4ever #bookstagram #bookporn #bookworm #booknerd #booklover #lovebooks #lovetoread #bookaddict #bookphotography #rickyancey #thelaststar #densidstestjerne #mysundayplans
