So I told my family I like horror books and movies, especially IT, and so I got a lot of Pennywise stuff for Christmas. (Much to my husband‘s dismay, as he finds Pennywise creepy af and had nightmares after seeing IT Chapter Two.) Anyways, here‘s a cute pen holder my brother and his girlfriend gave me. #it #stephenking #pennywise

BookwormAHN I'm not sure why but I love this book. @DGRachel thanks for hosting, especially since I know some of these books, like this one, aren't really your cup of tea 🖤 1mo
Karkar This is one of my favorite SK books. I read this earlier this year. I had forgotten or blocked some of the things that happened. 1mo
DGRachel @BookwormAHN You‘re welcome! I‘m happy to facilitate and ghost host. Some of King‘s works are pleasant surprises (I ❤️ Duma Key), but yeah... I hate clowns. So. Much. 😆😆 I‘m awestruck by how much this book has infiltrated our collective consciousness, though. I give storm drains a wide berth when out walking the dogs now. 1mo
BookwormAHN @DGRachel I also don't trust stray red balloons. 1mo
DGRachel @BookwormAHN 😆😆🎈 1mo
thereadingowlvina I love this book waayyyyy more than the movies! There are so much depth in the characters. I enjoyed all the stories in interludes 😊🎈 1mo
AnansiGirl No matter how many times I‘ve read IT, the Hockstetter chapter remains the most disturbing. I tend to increase the speed 2x or more if I‘m audiobooking or skip entirely if I‘m reading print book. 1mo
Eggbeater This is my favorite King book. I think it is brilliantly terrifying and I am very attached to the characters. 1mo
Traci1 I listened to the audio version of this one, and it was fabulous. Stephen Weber is a terrific narrator, and I think I enjoyed it more than I would have if i read it myself. It has become one of my top King books, right up there with The Stand. I haven't seen the second movie, but I definitely liked it more than the first. 1mo
JulAnna @BookwormAHN @Karkar @thereadingowlvina @Eggbeater @Traci1 This is also one of my favorite SK books. I have read it more times than I can remember, and sometimes wonder how Ben and the rest are doing now, haha. To me this is one of the best examples of SK‘s ability to write realistic, fully developed characters. I haven‘t watched the movies because I want the characters to live in my own mind‘s eye, though. 1mo
thereadingowlvina @JulAnna I agree! I miss them 😥 1mo
