Things We Never Got Over
Things We Never Got Over | Lucy Score
Bearded, bad-boy barber Knox prefers to live his life the way he takes his coffee: Alone. Unless you count his basset hound, Waylon.Knox doesn't tolerate drama, even when it comes in the form of a stranded runaway bride.Naomi wasn't just running away from her wedding. She was riding to the rescue of her estranged twin to Knockemout, Virginia, a rough-around-the-edges town where disputes are settled the old-fashioned way...with fists and beer. Usually in that order.Too bad for Naomi her evil twin hasn't changed at all. After helping herself to Naomi's car and cash, Tina leaves her with something unexpected. The niece Naomi didn't know she had. Now she's stuck in town with no car, no job, no plan, and no home with an 11-year-old going on thirty to take care of.There's a reason Knox doesn't do complications or high-maintenance women, especially not the romantic ones. But since Naomi's life imploded right in front of him, the least he can do is help her out of her jam. And just as soon as she stops getting into new trouble he can leave her alone and get back to his peaceful, solitary life.At least, that's the plan until the trouble turns to real danger.

Done in less than 24 hours despite the length. Exhilarating and such a good read

October 2, 2022 A MUST READ. I like how Lucy Score goes into depth about each character (Naomi, Tina, Waylay, Knox Morgan, Nash Morgan, Lucian, Tina, Lina, etc) and how the story flows from each chapter. Reading her books are very pleasant because she takes the reader to many different places and has them imagining things as they read each word 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

October 2, 2022 Introducing the Fall/Autumn TBR stack (minus the book by Lucy Score). OMG i cant believe it is October. 2022 has flown by and I hardly did anything... JK I was productive this year but not really in reading.

October 1, 2022 When the highlighter comes out to play, you know the book is hitting the climax. I rarely use a highlighter. BUT when i do, it allows me to remember certain parts of a book... Currently on page 402 out of 483. What will happen at the end? Last post of the book will reveal the rating.

September 28, 2022 On page 307 out of 483... Lucy Score has made it pretty clear that she writes with humor. Right now I am on the part where Naomi and Knox have no clue what they're doing (even though they have had sex TWICE), a one night stand and then something else that was considered sex???! Naomi is confused and Knox is not making things any clearer. Despite the confusion, Naomi still has feelings for him when he is around

September 25, 2022 About 1/3 done with the book. It has been pretty funny. Knox is jealous of his brother Nash because he doesnt like how Nash can easily talk to Naomi (Not Tina) while he is the one being left out and always annoying and mean towards Naomi. On page 147, Knox does not seem mean at all and is acting "goody" by buying her things at the mall like new underwear and a new phone...

September 18, 2022 Im on Chapter 8 of the book and I am enjoying it. There are a lot characters that are being introduced: Tina, Naomi (aka Aunt Naomi), Knox and Nash (brothers), Waylay (Naomi's niece), and Waylon (Knox's dog). I am looking forward to reading more and finding out if there is a relationship that builds between Naomi and Knox

I really really enjoyed this read. It took me through a whole rollercoaster of emotions; sadness, anger, fear, worry, and happiness. I finished this book with a smile on my face. Loved it.

A very fun read. A genuine rom-com with a very likable protagonist. She‘s having a very bad day, running away from her wedding, being mistaken for her terrible sister and discovering she has a niece she never knew about. And there is the very grumpy guy not helping matters. The male protagonist is not terribly likable for a lot of the book, which is my main frustration with this book, he does get better though. 4⭐️

TheAromaofBooks Sometimes people who write the grumpy/sunshine trope forget that grumpy needs to still be likable 😂 3mo

In a nutshell, this was a steamy Hallmark. I liked all the feel good elements. I read for escape. With all the bad news we see daily, I can‘t read anything heavy. Daisy & Knox were both dealing with past trauma. In their own way, they had to deal with it and move in. I loved all of the supporting characters. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

(Spoiler Alert:
It‘s never indigestion, you grumpy, emotionally constipated dummy. But this “Is it love or is it a stomach ache” mini-trope gets me every dang time 😍)

It is 4:30am. This is why I cannot read before bed. I really enjoyed reading this, even if I spent the majority of the time want to smack the male charactes.. 4⭐️

🛑 STOP what you‘re doing and go pick up this book!!! You can thank me later. I don‘t usually enjoy romance novels, but a friend picked this one to read together and I absolutely could not put it down ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and would give it more if I could

May was such a busy month and I definitely didn‘t get through as many books as I had hoped, but I read some good one! My top pics are Things We Never Got Over, We Are All Made of Molecules, and She is Me, Too. Can‘t wait to read some more good ones for June!!

This is not normally a book I would think I would love. It was a mix of something off the hallmark channel and 50 Shades, but I loved it. I could not put this book down. Not only were the main characters, Naomi and Knox so fun to follow, but every other character that was introduced was even better than the next. This book made me so happy and there‘s going to be a sequel. I cannot wait. Drop everything. Read this book.

Y‘all she reads like my favorite author Kristen Ashley. So if you love her books like I do. You‘ll love this one. Naomi and Knox are amazing characters and the romance here is awesome. This does touch on domestic abuse so if this is a trigger please be mindful. #romance #springread #romantsy

What a drama filled ride, but in a good way. Warning, steamy sex scenes-the first one was pretty hot but the rest were porn. I wasn‘t a fan of Knox‘s possessiveness, I don‘t find that sexy it‘s borderline DV. I saw the ending coming, but it was good and drama filled. My favorite character was Steph, I‘d prefer more of him and less of stupid Knox the caveman. Book #24 in 2022

I have probably read over a dozen Lucy Score books and this ranks up near the top. All the feels, all the emotions.

Naomi Witt has to come to the rescue of her deadbeat twin sister. Gets more than expected from everyone in town, including the niece she never knew about.

Even at almost 600 pages, it doesn't feel that long of a book.
