I loved this book! It's sweet and lovely. It takes you on a vacation through Italy and had a family curse mystery to solve and a love story or two. Highly recommend!!

Super behind on reviews.
I‘m not sure if I actually liked this book. The cousins really annoyed me in the beginning. They were so ungrateful for a free trip to Italy. That rubbed me the wrong way. I don‘t know if I didn‘t understand because I‘m not super close to my family, but I would go to Italy and not stress about pissing off my grandma. Like, it‘s a vacation. Poppy‘s story was heartbreaking and not sure how she remained so positive.
This was definitely a cute story. It was a bit romantic, a bit mysterious and a bit suspenseful. I think my favorite parts were where the various cities and towns of Italy were described in detail. Visiting Italy is on my bucket list. There was a bit of a twist at the end that I didn‘t see coming.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
When I saw this was a #botm book a few months ago I thought eh, I don‘t want it. I was looking through Libby and decided to pick it up as an audiobook and I fell in love with this book. It was so beautiful. I didn‘t want the story to end. It was heartbreaking with self-discovery and just great. I totally recommend this book.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Light and enjoyable read. This was a sweet story, sprinkled with magical words of wisdom and love. I adored watching Emilia come out of her shell and become the true wild woman that all of us ladies have inside! Poppy‘s love story is beautiful! I could have read a book that featured her story alone. I recommend! Great read for summer! #botm
Did you ever judge a book by its title, read the book, and realize the title was spot on? That‘s what happened here - just a fun read!
THE STAR-CROSSED SISTERS OF TUSCANY is a heartfelt, extraordinary read that makes you realize it‘s never too late to follow your dreams.
It is about family and living your life to the fullest and loving like there‘s no tomorrow.
And...if you like secrets, there is a huge family one that gets uncovered. 5/5

LOVED THIS BOOK!!
@lorinelsonspielman
Omg,this is a beautiful story. I absolutely love it. Lots of feelings in this book. It is well written. The description of Venice is so beautiful. I am not finished with this book yet. It just might be my book of the year read .
⭐⭐⭐
This was a fun, sweet story spanning multiple generations in the Fontana family across both Italy and America. Some of the plot points and the characterization was a little beyond the point of believability, but as a rom-com style novel it worked. The descriptions across Italy were beautiful. 🇮🇹
My #ecbc book made it way back to me. I can‘t wait to read what everyone thought of it. Erika it may take me a couple of weeks before I am able to read your book and mail it back to you. I go in for my second COVID shot on Friday and don‘t know how I will be feeling for the next couple of days after that. But I will let you know when I send it out!
Amazing book! Took me 2 days! 💜💜💜
5 ⭐️ I ❤️ this book! Filled w/ lush descriptions of Italy's scenery, culture & food, this book took me back to my own trip to Italy 14 years ago. It is a story about family, forgiveness, long-held secrets & a beautiful story of self-discovery.
Lots of poignant issues are addressed with sensitivity & I simply adored some of the bonds between the characters. This is a book you won't want to put down.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 (4.5 / 5) stars!
I had a love hate relationship with these characters. Aunt Poppy is so so beautiful. She is full of love, strength, and everlasting hope. I want to know her in real life ❤😭
Emilia... wheww drove me nuts at first! But I came to love her at the end. The storyline of her character was wow! So much depth and growth there!
Such a heartbreaking yet heartfelt story with a satisfying ending everything we want in a romance ❤
"In the end, life is a simple equation. Each time you love - be it a man or a child, a cat or a horse - you add color to this world. When you fail to love, you erase color. Love in any of its forms is what takes this journey from a bleak black and white pencil sketch to a magnificent oil painting" - Aunt Poppy
❤? man I love the quotes in this book. So beautiful and important.
Who else is crazy but refusing to waste a beautiful day 😂😂😂
"Love. Forgive. Love again. Forgive again. That, my dear girl, is the circle of love." - Aunt Poppy
This picture perfectly symbolizes Aunt Poppy ?I love her character.
"You, my dears are still in the production stage of your movie. Make it riveting! Make every scene sizzle! When it comes time to watch the movie of your life, may tears run down your face, may you scream with laughter and cringe with embarrassment. But for goodness sake, don't let your life story be one that's so dull you fall asleep during the viewing." - Aunt Poppy.
Okay, I love this line! A reminder we all need from time to time. ❤
Finally catching up on my #onceuponabookclub boxes! This is the New Years Box! I will be all caught up after this! #booknerdproblems
Going to start this beautiful looking novel! I need something a bit more on the light-hearted side.
Who's read it??
No bingos for me this month - it was a weird one with my car accident early on. I completed only 5 books in February, and I highly doubt I will finish any of the others this weekend. #bookspinbingo @TheAromaofBooks
I adore this novel! It was well crafted and brought setting to life. In the end I closed the book and the title took on new meaning (isn‘t that always fun). I can‘t wait to pass this one along to other readers in my life. Also, I‘m clearly writing this too soon after reading because my mind is still jumbled up with my emotional adoration for this story!
This book felt a bit long and predictable, but still had a warm happy ending.
I have given up on getting anything done on this snow day. This blanket, this book, and I will be together for the rest of the day. #KidsAndHouseworkDoNotGoTogether
She couldn't figure out how to sit on my lap so she sat on my book. This isn't working for me. #Alabamaslife #catsoflitsy
My daughter took this pic of me, #Alabamaslife #KindredaCat. This blanket is amazing. My youngest sister gave it to me as a Christmas gift, and it is perfect for reading. My arms are covered and my hands are out holding my book. #bookishgift #catsoflitsy
It's 1:30 am, I just finished this book. I am not disappointed. It has such a good balance of character growth, twists, and overall amazing storytelling.
An enchanting story about 3 generations of cursed 2nd daughters who travel to Italy on a life changing journey. Told from the past and present, which I loved! I could feel myself just getting lost in Italy and the culture. It‘s beautiful!
LOVED it! I think a story filled with romance and family secrets was the exact type of book I needed right now ❤️ great pick @Lovesbooks87 ! #ECBC #EastCoastBookClub
Book 2 of 150 for 2021. This book was amazing! #ouabc #bookclubvip
Every time I tried to put this book down it would call to me. A tale of 2 sets of sisters 2 generations apart and real true love and what superstition can do to you. An excellent read. Thank you @FeatherV for putting this in my path. @TiaQueso this may not be your genre, but I think you‘d like it.
This is how I am blissfully spending my New Year‘s Eve. Thank the gods for being comfortable in my 30s and not being in a too tight outfit, drinking beer I don‘t even like while being around more strangers than friends in a bar or party. I‘m also thankful that this last year saw me promoted to detective so that I could be home in bed with my husband and not on the streets tonight.
Hurray! My New Years Eve @onceuponabookclubbox arrived!
I won‘t start this book until tomorrow but am looking forward to the party favors tonight! Happy New Year Eve‘s to you!
“Being lost is where the beauty lies. Lost in a book. Lost in someone‘s eyes. Lost in a symphony so sweet it brings you to tears.” She smiles. “Lost in a beautiful floating city on a starry night. This is magical, yes? It‘s being found that‘s the disappointment.”
I loved this! Predictable twists and turns but ultimately spurring you along to experience the deep love and heartbreak with the characters.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Powered by caffeine and the Christmas spirit, I‘ve decided to join the fun and actually start posting instead of only enjoying everyone else‘s reviews! 😃🙃
This is the kind of book that makes your heart soar when you see it on your bookshelf because you love the story and characters so much! A beautiful journey full of love, hope, and grace; the warm hug of a novel we all need in 2020.❤️

This book was perfect! I absolutely loved the romance of Rico and Poppy and was wrapped up in their world the entire time. The descriptions of Italy were beautiful. Plus the authors note that this story was based on a real couple when one was free in Italy while the other was trapped behind the Iron Curtain of Germany makes it all the more heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time. One of the best love stories I've read in a long time. #mustread
On the way to do some Christmas shopping...love it when I'm the passenger and can read! My hubby knows my obsession and is ok with it🤣📚🤓
Got your book today @Lovesbooks87 looking forward to reading it! Planning on sending mine out by the end of the week #eastcoastreaders @aroc @samanthagutt @whatsthEStorey
Nope, not for me. Emilie is boring, Poppy is a caricature of a much more interesting character, and Lucy is a trope that seems to only be there for Emilia to slut shame constantly. Not going to keep reading, wishing I‘d picked These Violent Delights instead.
