This is my 2nd book I have read by K. Center. I enjoyed the journey of Cassie and to read her experience as a firefighter & EMT. The Epilogue gave a nice summary of everything that happened. No loose ends were not tied up.

GondorGirl I enjoyed this one. I like how the main character of this one references 6mo

Stephanie Plum 30 years old, Joe Morelli cop age 32, Grandma Mazur 72 years old. Rex the hamster. I enjoyed this book for its style of writing and the bounty hunter looking for Kenny Mancuso & 24 coffins. This book focused on the case yes but also on her family, love interest and hamster.

jewright These books always make me laugh. Number 25 is my favorite. 7mo

4 of 5 stars. Lots of characters. During my read I thought of who did and why. I didn‘t guess who did…it‘s a quick and enjoyable read. AC is an amazing writer and keeps me guessing.

4 out 5 stars. WOW!!! I was hooked from the first chapter. I liked the present day tale with the book in between to get a taste of the Crib. Definitely fooled me. Good writers borrow, great writers steal—T.S.Eliot (but possibly stolen from Oscar Wilde)

So I read this book for BN book club—I would not have been a book I would have just picked up. The author is new to me-the scenery is well described—I understood the Our Town reference. I felt it sort of dragged at the end but then there was some peaks of the story at the end that were interesting. Overall nice family story. 3.5 out 5 stars

Demon Copperhead: A Novel | Barbara Kingsolver

This was a long and eventful journey of Damon Fields. The read was never boring or dragging. Kingsolver wrote a wonderful book about poverty & how it affects kids growing up. When I got to chapter 30 and it was all positive I was hoping the book to end but I was only half way thru the book. The last couple chapters were fantastic. Chapter 64 was what I expected & hoped for for Damon (and Angus).

Good amount of characters in this dysfunctional family set in Cape Cod 2016. I think the beginning and middle was great—-at the end I see how the author ended it softly(can‘t think of another word). Not satisfied with ending. 3/5 stars

I enjoy this author‘s work—-this was a good read. I enjoyed the story but it slightly dragged….slightly. That being said I would recommend the read if you like this author. 3.5/5 stars

tpixie I‘m heading to Paris in September ( woot!) Do you think this is real creepy? I‘ve been reading book set in Paris before I go but I‘m wondering on this one if I should wait till afterwards? Paranormal would scare me more than just a regular murder mystery like a James Patterson. I don‘t know why that scares me more than just a regular murder mystery. (edited) 2y
