The Complete Peanuts 1950-1952
The Complete Peanuts 1950-1952 | Charles M. Schulz
12 posts | 12 read | 3 to read
Peanuts is the most popular comic strip in the history of the world. Its characters -- Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, Schroeder, and so many more -- have become dearly loved icons for generation after generation. Now Charles Schulz's classic, Peanuts, will be reprinted in its entirety for the first time. In these beautifully produced editions, the strip will be presented in full in chronological order. They will be the ultimate books for Peanuts' fans the world over. These first volumes will be of particular fascination to Peanuts aficionados. Many of the strips from the series' first two or three years have never been collected before, in large part because they showed a young Schulz working out the kinks in his new strip. They include some characterizations and designs that are quite different from the cast we all know. And Snoopy debuts as a puppy!

How can one not love the Peanuts-a collection of wisdom from pint sized humans and a doghouse flying beagle. So I‘m adding them all (at some point) to my collection. My problem is space. I need #creative #feedback on packing bookshelves and keeping them neat. BTW the only rooms without bookshelves are the bathrooms.

Nute I have the same concern. Although, I want to be known as a purchaser of many books and a collector of particular books, I no longer have the room to store the addition of any more books. I double stack my bookshelves. I stack on top of the bookshelves. I stack on the floor in front of the bookshelves. I have books in places where other things should be!🥴 I haven‘t mastered any willingness to part with any of my books which I think👇🏽 3y
Nute might be the only real answer to this dilemma. Pass on books that I have already read. Get rid of books that I didn‘t really care for. Establish more of a revolving (or evolving) collection of owned books. In short, I don‘t really have a “good” answer. If you come up with a solution, please let me know. I‘m in need of assistance as well!☺️ 3y
quanners @nute thanks for the comment! So far I‘ve only managed to rid of some paperbacks that are duplicates of hardcovers. I do have books stacked on each other. I removed magazines from baskets and put paperbacks there because I‘ve learned that they are inevitable. I‘m a hardcover snob! I‘m currently working on rearranging one of the bookshelves. #booklover 3y

Help me! My son keeps asking to read some book he remembers, and neither of us can remember what book it was or where it might be. He said it's about made-up animals, and it has two people in it. It's also an alphabet book with each animal starting with a letter. He thinks the cover might be white, but he's not sure. I've come up with five or six books that almost meet this description, but none of them are the one he wants! Any ideas?

Emily92Bibliophile Hmm that actually sounds familiar .... I'll look Tuesday when I get to work and see if I can find anything with that description! 🤔🔍 7y
readinginthedark @Emily92Bibliophile Awesome, thanks! I can totally understand his frustration but can't for the life of me remember the book! 7y
josie281 Maybe this? That's what I thought of. My kids loved this book. 7y

scripturient I'm sure you checked that already but the first thing that came to mind after your description was actually Dr Seuss' 7y
readinginthedark @josie281 I thought of that one! We love it, but it's not the one he's talking about. 7y
readinginthedark @scripturient 😆What's funny is the Seuss seems so obvious now, but I did not think of it at all! That's probably it; I'll check with him tomorrow. I've never heard of the other one, so that can't be it, but I'll have to find and read it now! 7y

Starting The Complete Peanuts collection. It's crazy to see how different it was when Schulz started drawing it!

I cried when I read this about Charles Schulz. I've always loved Charlie Brown, but the background info included in this collection makes reading Peanuts that much richer. These strips are rooted in a certain moment in time, but they feel timeless as well.

CaitlinSiem That is heartbreaking. 8y
