Short story with shifting perspectives. I didn‘t like any of the characters but I don‘t think you‘re supposed to, which made it a hard read despite it being 28 pages.
Major trigger warning for rape.
Not in the system so I suggested we add it.

Will be back in December, the last few days of Oct though now I've been sick with a cold, just starting to feel a little bit better, and have came up with a new lost of books,
Instead of making 2 lists I've made one big one ,we'll see how that will work for me .
So I lagged with posting for #scarathlon but was still reading.😄 working on tallying all my points. I finished this one several days ago, but didn‘t care for it. It was all fluff and no plot. If you really enjoy romance you might like it, but just wasn‘t for me. @Bookwormjillk
I'm just tired of Christians & their weird obsession with people's sex lives & the grandiose delusions that they're in any position to judge a fucking thing. 《Dramtic sigh》 The world would be such a better place without them 🤷♀️🤷♀️
Happy Halloween to You! 🖤🕸🕷🐈⬛🤍🧡
In my country it's almost over by this time
Genie & the Ghost by Carmen Radtke
A fun, cosy and enjoyable whodunnit. It has an entertaining plotline and some amusing characters, my favourite being Cleo the cat. I liked the idea of a ghost as part of an amateur detective duo, too. If you‘re looking for some escapism from the trials and tribulations of every day life, you couldn't do any better than reading this. It will make you smile with a shiver! 👻. #TBC on Facebook
DUNGEON WORLDS BY AURORA WEISS
I found this in the Audible Plus catalog. I love LitRPG as they generally aren‘t 1K pages of blah blah blahhhh it gets right down to the quest, the adventure. A cozy little fantasy narrated by Travis Baldree. Fantastic audio! Loved the premise and some good monsters. Id read more in this world.

Finished this one today. Interesting short story but the ending was ambiguous which drives me crazy!! #scarathlon #teamBOOks @Bookwormjillk

My #FFFS box just arrived! It says perishable but I don‘t see anyone with my person‘s last name as a user 😬. @MaleficentBookDragon are you my swap buddy? If so, please let me know if I need to go ahead and open it.

So over the weekend I binged watched Severance. Such a good show 😊
I love how this show really makes you think of the work culture in society. Definitely gives Black Mirror vibes.
I highly recommend it if you like them sci-fi/thriller genre.
One of my favourite quote from a Hungarian book:
,,Those who love each other, search each other. Even if the wind blows them apart, they coming back on their knees. If the sea aparts them, they send their souls throught the ocean: they meet in letter."

Well looks like it's a good day to stay inside in the AC and read. Definitely not going outside to melt
First books to read in August
I‘m not sure how I feel about this book. I enjoy reading Chris Bohjalian‘s books, so I was excited when I learned about the release of Slot Machine Fever Dreams. I didn‘t care for the narrator nor the second person writing style. I liked the story line. Dove, a recovering alcoholic with Emily Dickenson tattoos, meets Russell while serving him drinks in a casino. Neither are who they say they are.

Much better month of reading than May! I adored many of these books and I'm currently reading the Water, Air, Earth and fire series by Riley Nash and LOVING it.

Another visit to my late father's house this weekend and I grabbed this local gem. The author was both my father's bus driver in the 50s and 60s, as well as my bus driver in the 80s and 90s, and then briefly my landlord when I was in grad school. The book contains many short little snippets of his memories of growing up in rural western Pennsylvania, including when he was my grandma's student in a one room schoolhouse.
