As the title says, this delightful book is a guide to 45 places around the world with a thriving book culture. It's easy to get lost reading about far flung locations, wether featuring a statue of an itinerant bookseller or filled with stores & stalls providing a #neverendingstory

#BookMail Pt13 is this enchanting addition to my books about books collection.This lovely book is about 45 towns all over the world that are dedicated to the printed word.There‘s the well known ones like Hay & Wigtown in the UK,but there‘s also more obscure ones like Jimbochu in Japan, College St in Calcutta & even Australia‘s Bowral,location of a large writers festival. With beautiful photos & info on each town, it‘s my kind of coffee table book.

Book Towns are apparently a thing and they‘re all over the world! This beautiful book gives you practical advice if you actually plan on visiting these literary destinations, but also beautiful pics and bite-sized stories if, like me, you lack the funds to visit yourself. A must-read — or at least flip through — for crazy book lovers like us!

Managed to make it to Clunes today for Booktown. My bookclub goes every year for the weekend, but with my new little one I opted for a day trip. Such glorious Autumn weather.
