Impossible to read this book without singing the words!

Book stall at the local shops was selling everything for $3 each! 😍

Holy guacamole! 🥑 So many things to fit in one photo! @Lizpixie 💋 You‘ve thoroughly spoiled me, thank you so much. If I‘d opened the parcel on Monday then I‘d have been able to say I‘ve never read any of the books before, but I opened the parcel today & I read a library copy of The Lost Man only LAST NIGHT (How freaky is that?!). I absolutely loved it though (Good choice!) & I‘ll def read my copy from you one day soon
#cupidgoespostal

Look what I finally picked up from the Post Office. Sorry @Lizpixie it took me so long to go get it, esp. after you went to the trouble of sending it Express Post. Now to open it! 😍

Day 12 - #Sweetheart
Evie is the ‘Sweetheart Seer‘
I love this series & can‘t wait for the 4th (& final) book

#LiteraryLove
Day 10 - #SentimentalSunday
Up until recently I would've listed my mum's collection of Mills & Boon books from the 70s and 80s as sentimental favourites. I read them as a teen & I guess I found them romantic. I recently re-read one of the Anne Mather books though and found it shockingly bad. I was upset by how sexist, etc. it was

Day 8 - #ForgetMeNot

Day 6 - #Soulmate
Nutmeg is telling me it‘s not true that I haven‘t met my soulmate yet 😸 #petsoflitsy

Day 5 - #CrossMyHeart
I haven‘t read this yet. Published March 2019, so I still have time 😀

I got a one-off subscription to see if I like Luxuread, & I don‘t think I‘ll be signing up for another box. I thought the book would be a new release. I borrowed this from the library last year & luckily never got around to reading it, so now I definitely will. The other items are nicely luxurious but a bit too beauty-based for me

Day 4 - #PlayingCupid
Picked this for Jackson & O‘Reilly, who play Cupid as part of their mission from heaven
Showing my age here (VHS! CD!) and that I really go all out when I like something

I just completed a #LittenLoveBingo #LLB19 prompt without even realising! Last week I saw someone post about a Sarina Bowen novel, which then made me remember I‘d stacked Brooklynaire by Sarina Bowen on here ages ago, so I downloaded the eBook. It was pretty good, but not as good as I‘d expected. I‘ve been reading a lot of Avery Flynn lately and I feel she does this sort of Contemporary Romance better

Day 1 - #FebruaryTBR

#bathandbook Maybe I should read about a different team while using this Yellow Submarine bath bomb

#cupidgoespostal Buying one more book & then I can send this off

This book is breaking my heart. Kinda want to put it down for a while & kinda want to plow on. I‘m about a quarter of the way through at the moment

1st #netgalley ARC of the year. This one caught my eye because it‘s set in a 1920s Chicago speakeasy

A book with a protagonist who shares my occupation is going to be easy. Librarians in books? Come on!

Watched Mary Poppins Returns today & it was great fun, with a song about books that I‘ll probably sing at work in the library

Kicking off NYE celebrations with oysters & sparkling wine (& a book)

Interesting to see this guarantee on the back, as most of the reviews about this book haven‘t had great things to say. I get the problems people have with the book, but I‘ve also giggled a bit while reading it & haven‘t wanted to put it down, so I have no idea how I‘ll rate it in the end

I‘m like a kid on Christmas, opening my #blinddatebookswap presents at the crack of dawn on Dec. 22 @LeeRHarry Thank you, you did a great job! The book is something I wouldn‘t normally choose for myself, but the blurb has got me intrigued & I‘m looking forward to reading the book soon. The cat socks are purrfect, of course, & the badge is super cute ❤️

It‘s all Christmas & cats from here

This morning I‘ll be sending a #blinddatebookswap parcel to someone in NSW. So relieved I don‘t have to pay international shipping!

Came home from a few days away at a library conference to find this package waiting for me 🎉😍👍🏻👍🏻 #blinddatebookswap

How great are Vintage Christmas covers?
I‘m all about holiday reading already

I think you get a lot more out of a book after hearing the author speak about it

My current library loans. I think I‘m seeing a trend here...

Have just unboxed a prize from Hachette/Books With Heart ❤️ So many new books to read!

#Space #AugustIsATrip
Lately I‘ve been borrowing books from the library about minimalism, decluttering, spending less & making space in your life for things other than things. This is my reading for this weekend. Earlier in the week I read ‘The gentle art of Swedish death cleaning‘ & went through old letters, etc. to see what I still really wanted to keep

Saw this tweet the other day & not only liked and retweeted it, but took a screenshot so that I could use it for #AugustIsATrip #Mountains

#NewYork #AugustIsATrip
Hoping to get to New York next year, & I‘m keen to see some shop cats (esp. in bookstores)

1st time I've had a wish granted on #NetGalley!

More multitasking for #AugustIsATrip 😄
Listening to a Nancy Drew! In it, Nancy heads to #Nantucket for some time at the #beach and to eat lobster, etc. and comes across a mystery at a local whaling #museum

Combining #Poland and #Australia for #AugustIsATrip
On the Hold List for this book at the library, a fictionalised account of a couple who survived Auschwitz-Birkenau and settled in Melbourne, Australia
Photo taken by me on a visit to Auschwitz when I was in Poland last year

Being an Australian of Croatian Heritage, you'd think I'd have read a lot of books set in #Croatia & the Balkans, but this is all that comes to mind
Photo is of members of my family at the local Croatian Club during the recent World Cup. I was too lazy to leave my house in the middle of the night, so I watched the matches from home in my pjs 😀
My older sis and her hubby and kids are on their way to Croatia right now, so #AugustIsATrip for them!
