This is the 2nd in the Thea Paris series and it quickly topped the 1st one (which I liked as well). I liked less family drama in this one and more about Thea doing her job with a planeful of passengers and another complex plot. Thea has diabetes and must always take her health into consideration—real life!! I love that human touch. I did have some logic problems with the story line involving Johan. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ out of 5.

So happy to start this one as my next Audible. I skipped it after finishing Freedom Broker on Audible to start the freebie In the Woods but I had to bail on it. Too long, too slow and the app (Volumes) to listen to the freebie was awful—lost my place and way too hard to find it again. So I‘m a few minutes into this one and it‘s nonstop action. Ok life is back to good again. Thanks @KJHowe !

Welp, I‘m sucked in. If you like Lee Child and similar books, this might be a good choice. Thea is no- nonsense hostage negotiator. Loving this so far!

K.J. Howe‘s second novel Skyjack is on sale today on all of the e book platforms, including Amazon for $2.99. In fact I think Amazon may be offering it for a little less. A good deal for some great reading.

There is no doubt my favourite female author is my lovely wife @KJHowe I can say with some confidence her favourite book is David Morrell's Brotherhood of the Rose 😀.

There are so many great female authors it is hard to narrow down from the rest but if you are looking for a female spec fic hidden gem try Nalo Hopkinson. Her fav is Shattered like a Glass Goblin by Ellison.

Kind readers make all the hard work worthwhile. This reader takes books she enjoys and then puts them in floral and other artistic arrangements and takes stunning photos of them. She sent me the photos with some very kind words on my writing. Talk about making someone‘s day!

For an author, no day is more amazing than Pub Day and today is U.K. Pub Day for my second novel #skyjack. A few more events over here in the incredible city of London and then back home to get cracking on the next book. It is a crazy, demanding, cycle but I love it and wouldn‘t trade it for anything.

On the BBC discussing the release of #skyjack in the UK. My main character, Thea Paris, suffers from Type 1 Diabetes. By remarkable coincidence the first interviewer‘s wife has the condition and the second interviewer had just been diagnosed with Type 2. The conversation around the impact of the illness and how it should not hold people back from pursuing their dreams brought us together and was very uplifting.

Having a drink with George R. R. Martin and Lee Child at #thrillerfest cocktail party last night. Two gents, both with a great sense of humour, and pretty good writing skills!
