What a lovely time. Perfect cozy mid-fall reading. I really loved the depth Fern found along the road and how friendship was depicted as anti-fragile.

Long overdue update and even longer reading slump, I moved to Chicago! Sorting out a new job, new apartment and moving the kitties was quite stressful and I haven‘t picked up a book in ages until@getting this on Libby.
Only on Chapter 2 but it‘s a great cosy fantasy in the world of legends and lattes so I‘m excited about it!
Been here 3 weeks now and just did a quick trip home for a charity ball and ceilidh! This was the sky tonight. 🌙 🌅

Another fun fantasy from Travis Baldree, this one is about Fern from Bookshops and Bonedust.
I went with the audio since I‘m waiting to purchase the paperback when it comes out. I have to say I wish I‘d waited to read it, as I‘m not a fan of Baldree‘s narration. It was still good, on the light side of fantasy though I think the books are getting progressively less cozy. There were quite a few battles in this one.
I really liked Zil the goblin.

This was a nice return to the Legends and Lattes series. What I liked most in 'Brigands and Breadknives' is the comradery of the characters. The novel focuses on the foul-mouthed rattikin, Fern. She falls into an adventure with the elven legend Asteryx and the goblin Zyll. These three are aided by the sword Nigel and the This novel is a fun cosy fantasy that will brighten your day. All voices are done very well by the author himself. 4.5 stars

Travis Baldree‘s latest is my favorite of his cozy fantasy series so far. Read my full review here: https://debbybrauer.org/#brigands-breadknives-legends-lattes-...
Publication is expected November 11.

This is “Legends & Lattes“ #2, but there was a #0 after #1, so it is really the 3rd in the series (not counting the novellas). This one spends most of the time recounting the adventures of Fern (from book #0) and while I missed the character of Viv, this was still a fun read. Baldree creates the most interesting and amusing characters, with both wonderful strengths and relatable flaws. I enjoy his work. Thank you to Edelweiss+ for the ARC. 4/5!

Fern's life is in a rut, so she moves to Thune to relocate her bookshop next to her long-time friend, Viv. But when that fails to change how Fern feels, she ends up in the back of a legendary adventurer's wagon and ends up on a journey of her own.
I enjoyed the addition to the lore of this world, particularly the section about the penitents. The ending wasn't what I expected, but I hope that it can continue to be expand on.

Another cozy hug of a book by the beloved author of Legends & Lattes—this time starring the foul-mouthed bookselling rattkin Fern, whose success starting a bookstore in Thune…doesn‘t make her happy. A drunken incident leads her on an epic journey with a legendary elven warrior, a delightful chaos goblin in her custody, and the enemies on their tail! As a bookseller selling her 10+ year open shops to focus more on rare books, I needed this book!

a surprising amount of swearwords for such a cozy fantasy! who doesn't love Fern from Bookshops & Bonedust?! this is a story all about her! this is more adventure than the first two, but there were still a lot of delightfully cozy scenes with all new characters your going to love! i think this is my favorite one so far! the characters and the story are all amazing, and i highly recommend getting it ASAP!

Excited for this one! Unfortunately I will be waiting until it is a paperback. But I WILL be buying it.
