New York Times bestselling author Jenny Han's beloved novels are now available together in this delightful paperback boxed set! What if all the crushes you ever had found out how you felt about them...all at once? Lara Jean Song keeps her love letters in a hatbox her mother gave her. They aren't love letters that anyone else wrote for her; these are ones she's written. One for every boy she's ever loved--five in all. When she writes, she pours out her heart and soul and says all the things she would never say in real life, because her letters are for her eyes only. Until the day her secret letters are mailed, and suddenly, Lara Jean's love life goes from imaginary to out of control. Obsessed with the first movie (no comment) so when I found the whole series at the thrift store for $3, had to buy. Took me maybe 8 hours to read all 3. So high school. So childish. Entertaining? Perhaps. Hope these kiddos learn to communicate. Glad I watched the movies first so I can picture the cute boys in my head while reading (again no comment).

So I was kinda skeptical going into the book but dang the author was goodt! 😍🙌🏽 This series is EVERYTHING!
The movie was equally amazing. So all in all, a keeper. I resonate with the character so much but in my unbiased opinion you should definitely read it. 😉

PS. I got this pic off the internet and take no credit whatsoever. Loving the aesthetic 😍

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Book description (for all 3 books) ⬇️

i.besteph Book 1: This is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed.

But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister's ex-boyfriend, Josh.
4y
i.besteph Book 2: Lara Jean didn‘t expect to really fall for Peter.
She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren‘t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever.
When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean‘s feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?
4y
i.besteph Book 3: Lara Jean has still so much to look forward to: a class trip to New York City, prom with her boyfriend Peter, Beach Week after graduation, and her dad‘s wedding to Ms. Rothschild. Then she‘ll be off to college with Peter, at a school close enough for her to come home and bake chocolate chip cookies on the weekends.

Life couldn‘t be more perfect!

At least, that‘s what Lara Jean thinks . . . until she gets some unexpected news.

Boooooks I loved this series so much I was a bit disappointed with the second film though but I loved John Ambrose so much 🥰 4y
i.besteph @Boooooks oh my gosh same here! The second move definitely wasn‘t up to par with the first but I‘d watch John Ambrose any day. I‘m #teamAmbrose all the way! 😍😍🙌🏽 (edited) 4y
Boooooks @AnotherMissBennet same, although Lara Jean can keep Peter kavinsky if I get John ambrose 😂 4y

“Josh is Margot‘s boyfriend, but I guess you could say my whole family is a little in love with him.”

Going with the flow this week: cheesy romance novels. The movie was great so I‘m excited for this one

I'm joining @Andrew65 and sharing some of my favorite series.

Day 3 : To All the Boys I've Loved Before (completed)

Lara Jean's life is turned upside-down when her little sister Kitty sends out the love letters she wrote to the boys she's loved. A sweet story with some high school drama and strong family ties.

3.5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 💫

A light YA book, first in the series. The book is a bit better than its Netflix adaptation, which is a sweet, highly-watchable movie. The novel is a quick pleasure read with several likeable characters and much better writing than The Kissing Booth, another recent YA read and Netflix adaptation.

Genre: Young Adult Fiction
Started: October 20, 2019
Finished: October 27, 2019

Summary: A teenage girl always writes letters about her crushes, she imagines a relationship with each of them describing her love for them in those letters. Everything is fine until all of her letters are sent out to all the boys she loved before.

Why I chose the book: I always see people reading this book and it is pretty popular so I decided to take a look at it.

I watched the movie already so I already know what‘s going to come the book and the movie are really the same lol I didn‘t read details that I didn‘t see in the movie

ReadWithAJ I always felt like this book was supposed to be a movie more than a book. It‘s almost like Nicholas Sparks‘ works 5y

I did not love this book. YA can be smart and intriguing, and although I did finish, I found this to be neither. I want to go watch the Netflix movie again, which might be one of the only times I‘ve ever said the movie is better than the book!

swishandflick Agreed! I thought the movie was fantastic. 5y

I feel a #readingslump coming on. I‘m enjoying #TheCheerleaders and #Sadie, but I haven‘t picked them up all weekend because I think I‘m in the mood for a feel good book. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think this series might bring me out of this funk. 🤞🏼

🗯 What do you read when you‘re in a slump?

🗯 Have you read these?

I loved the @netflix movie of #toalltheboysivelovedbefore and I‘ve been wanting to read these books ever since! 😍

Victoriahoperose Loved this book. I read it in a day. Did you read Dumplin? That was a good one. I also really liked The Music Shop by Rachel Joyce and The reminders (can‘t remember the author‘s name - it‘s Val something) 6y
rubyslippersreads I‘ve read all three, and I think they‘re perfect for curing a reading slump. 6y
MallenNC I read all three of these in a row after watching the movie. They were fun! When I'm in a reading slump I read either a fun YA like these or a mystery from a series I know I like. 6y

zzz I'm torn on reading these. When I need good mindless reading, a good ol' indie romance does the trick for me.. Rachel Van Dyken, Colleen Hoover, A.L. Jackson, Tara Sivec my faves🤘🏼 6y
Lreads I read manga or humor when I feel down or having a hard time concentrating. 6y
elisebarker I‘m reading the first one right now and I‘m really enjoying it!! 6y
Phantasma.Maddie I‘ve never read these but during a reading slump I reach for a lot of middle grade or something with mental health themes. 6y

Look at those dimples to die for!
P.S. I still need to read the book.

I finally picked up Always and Forever today. What a lovely end to Lara Jean and Peter‘s love story. Joyous, tearful and at times heartbreaking. I‘ll be honest, I was really worried that Jenny Han was going to break my❤️ like she did with Jeremiah & Belly in the Summer I turned Pretty series...thankfully my heart is intact.

Also the Netflix adaptation is😍😍😍!

I‘m late on my March wrap-up, but here it is. I read most of the books during the first of the month, then on the 18th I got a phone call that shattered my world. My grandfather-my father since he raised me passed away. I was unable to finish books or even get past 10-20 pages. I finally finished a book today and getting back into my reading groove. Anyway, 9 books isn‘t so bad right? Some of them are for a college project. #botm #bookstagram

ElishaLovesBooks I‘m so sorry about your grandfather 😔 And 9 books is amazing!! 6y
