This book was ok, it did a lot of stating what happened and telling instead of showing the story.

I loved this book. It had everything that makes a Cinderella retelling amazing but had a lot of unique and changes to the classic story so it wasn‘t repetitive of what has been done before.

I really liked this book. It was such an interesting and exciting story. However the main character‘s obsession (fascination?) with Meghan was a little uncomfortable. And for some reason rename Chicago “newcago” felt weird. 😂🤷‍♀️

I enjoyed this book, it was a fun quick read. But it did feel a bit unoriginal and over the top at points.

I was not expecting this book to give me so many feelings, but it did. I loved it and I love this group of friends. Well worth the 3 weeks it took me to read it. 😂💖😍

This book was ok. I found myself wanting to know what happens but also found parts of it slow moving. I also was a fan of the time jumping, it kept taking me out of the story.

Hocus Pocus is my favorite movie, but I didn‘t enjoy this book. The first half of the book didn‘t feel right (To be fair that may of been the audiobook narrator). And the second half was just bad.

This book was beautifully written. But it was so slow and the jumping back to memories didn‘t flow the best. Also the romantic sub-plot annoyed me so much.

Brandon Sanderson is amazing. I loved how he took the world from the original trilogy and started to modernize it and seeing how that could change how Allomancy was used. And as always the characters were amazing. 😂 and the graphic audio experience was really fun (too bad it‘s on cd and not digital). 😬

This book felt like all it was doing was setting up for book 2, there was very little that happened. Plus the constant comments on how gorgeous Katherine was got annoying fast.

SassenachTheBookWizard oh that's too bad. I also really didn't like how the only Indigenous character was used to human traffic and that was it. Pretty disappointed since the author is really big (on Twitter at least) about minority representation. It's too bad but now on to a new book! 2mo

One of the things I hate the most in books is when all the conflicts comes from a lack of communication, and that‘s what this books was. Just talk to each other. There wasn‘t much in this book that I found exciting, moving, or memorable.

This is the weakest book in the trilogy. There was a large part of the book that was slow and dragged (too much time on the repetitive “we walked, then built camp, hunted, and slept”). That time could of been spent on developing the ending more. But through out the whole book I was completely invested in the world and the characters. Also an odd pairing at the end didn‘t sit well with me.

I struggled to get through this. I didn‘t feel connected to either main character and the ending felt so rushed. There was also an overload of multiple fandom references- a few would be fine but there was some sort of reference on almost every page (I know it‘s a book about a Fangirl- but we can talk about more than fandoms 🙄). Also we get it Imogen- you are a gryffindor 🙄).
