Very ‘sex in the city‘ ish. Cute, fun, sexy, quick read.
Gona try a lighter read today. In the mood for something new.
June 6, 2019 Hi again! Im back on Litsy!! I know that I am not an avid contributor to adding books to this app, but when I do, I deeply enjoy sharing and showing the books that I read, will read, or have read. Anyway, I am posting this to reveal the next two books I will read next. I am super excited. I bought them at Barnes and Nobles in Emeryville. Happy reading
This is a pretty funny read so far. There's some overused stereotypes of the skinny housewife, badly behaved rich people, etc. but it's a good mindless read if you need one of those. I just wish Target would stop putting the unnecessary stickers on the cover. #FirstWorldProblems
Also, I'm subbing at a STEM elementary today, and the kids are freaked out by my Zipfizz. They asked what experiment I did to turn my water orange. 🤣
Hey fellow bookworms! I just finished When Life Gives You Lululemons and I was giggling the entire time. Lauren Weisberger has tremendous wit along with giving you characters with depth. I would recommend this one if you want a light and fun read!
1. Everything! The flowers, the weather, the smells! 🌷
2. The allergies....pollen is the devil
3. Lots of caffeine 😂
4. Walk to the beach and read or maybe just sit 🌊
5. My reading tatse are rather dark, but i do remember this being a light fun read. 🙃
Not my usual type of book but this was delightful. I can't help but wish for a movie sequel since Devil Wears Prada is... iconic.
Now what to read next... 🤔🤔🤔
Had to put #Becoming on hold because the cold I caught has my eyes too watery to read, so I listened to Lululemons instead. I worried that a name-brand book isn‘t for me, but I got into it & now I‘m not sick any more. Just kidding; I‘m still sick, but I have a new bottle of off-brand cold medicine & another audiobook on #Libby.
My final Christmas gift for 2018. Thank you so much for your generosity, Erika! I am so lucky to have found Litsy this year and made so many reading friends. I can‘t wait to hang this ornament up on the tree and think of you year after year and am looking forward to starting 2019 off strong with these books. Thank you!!
This is the perfect, salacious chick-lit novel when you need a mindless, funny read. There are laugh-out-loud, as well as plenty of omigod moments.
There are also plenty of vapid characters, but it's on brand with the image Weisberger tries to create.
Well that was FUN❣️❣️❣️Thanks again @TrishB for putting this book in my hands 😀Totally over the top and beyond frivolous but that didn‘t stop me from LOVING EVERY PAGE. Can‘t wait to share this with Niki and note to self: I am NEVER moving to Greenwich xx
Woohoo 😊🍋☺️🍋#SurpriseBookMail from the awesome @TrishB 💛💛💛 such a wonderful box of treats and it arrived on the last night of Chanukah!! Extra special and feeling totally spoiled ~ my ONLY bookish gift❣️❣️❣️Thank you sooo much for all the goodies but always for the friendship 😘😘😘
Started this drama-filled chick- lit today!! (Still not my tree, 🤣😂 @cinfhen).
Never before has a book made me question if my yoga pants needed an upgrade...more references to plastic surgery and philandering husbands than my average read, but entertaining nonetheless. I can't help but see Emily Charlton as Emily Blunt, and her bitchy sass is still satisfying. The end raises a few eyebrows with one trivial concern in the spoilers below. #mommyreads #chicklit #ebook
I kinda wanted to surprise myself & like this but there was just so much that I found problematic that I did well to finish it. Eye roll and cringe were my most frequent actions whilst reading it. I can see how it could be entertaining - it's easy reading, undemanding escapism, all sass & snark writing, but ... it's a No from me. And the sex toy party chapter was gratuitous titillation that brought nothing to the narrative - just cringe.
My train book for the week... other passengers must think I'm nuts, I've chuckled way too many times to only be 38 pages deep.
".. I was imitating that buffoon who worked in the office- what was his name? Something rapey. Chester. Yes, Chester! Have you ever looked him up? We should Google him. I bet he has more pedophilia arrests than we can count.."
This was a fun book to listen to as summer reading season ends. Laura Benatti was a great narrator too; she really acted out the parts. Carolina, the model, was the character whose storyline most interested me. I couldn't really remember these characters from The Devil Wears Prada, but the book was good on its own.
I'm only about 10% into this audiobook. It has been so long since I've read or see The Devil Wears Prada that I can't really tell how this one fits in with the first book. But it seems like a good break from the heavier books I've been reading lately. #audiobooks
Super excited for this one! It takes place in my home state and by a home state author! Im excited to see how she portrays Greenwich which is a “rich” city and can be seen as a snooty city. Ive seen a lot of people say this book is a light and funny read, and i need that right now!
With all this back to school craziness, I almost forgot to review this one! Given how busy life as been this past week, this was the perfect book for me. It was light, witty, and entertaining. After 12 hour days in the classroom, listening to this during my commute home felt like a treat!
“Moët is hardly booze!” Emily called after her. Miriam smiled to herself and thought how much she loved that crazy bitch
Break out you Lululemon yoga pants and call your plastic surgeons to tighten up those vajayjays, Miranda and Priestley's snarky assistant Emily is back and she is a big Hollywood PR Fixer now! Well, until she loses some high profile clients and ends up helping an ex-supermodel through a nasty divorce and custody battle with her politician husband in the suburbs of Connecticut. Aiding her is a former lawyer turned housewife in this third book.
Enjoying this breeze while sipping & turning the pages before the rain gets here... ☔️🌬🍷📖

Finally I can sit out & enjoy the cool breeze while sipping & reading... I found this bottle of wine at Wegmans, in Glen Mills, PA... It is a local wine from Sorrenti Estate, in PA... A little sweet but soooo refreshing...
