If you can have a book set in hospice with a happy ending, this was it. So sad, but somehow also feel good.

Slow and character driven. Really no plot, but it was enjoyable.

I think everything Strout writes is so powerful. This was disturbing to read because of the teacher/student romance, but so moving.

CuriousG I was *so* incredibly disturbed by this book, but the writing is definitely powerful. 2y

I‘m sure it‘s fine, but other books came up on my library hold list and it wasn‘t holding my interest enough to prioritize.

I liked it fine, but it was a lot of@uncomfortable teen sex and three books from my hold list came up, so I quit it.

marleed Haha. I watched the Hulu series while dog-sitting for my son and DIL. My DIL mentioned to a friend that while there this was on my Hulu list. Her friend laughed and said, you know your Mother-in-law watched soft porn from your couch. So funny. It kind of was, too. 4y
rubyslippersreads @marleed I‘ve been watching and that‘s a pretty accurate description. 😂 4y

This is possibly the worst book I‘ve ever read. The boring plot and excessive wordiness are as pretentious and unlikable as the characters.
