Prompt: APPLE OF MY EYE - SPOILED

Ethan was a bullied child and Sammy was a coddled, “spoiled child” who was the bully.

Unexpected twists and turns.

Pulls you in and keeps you guessing along with the characters.

You won‘t want to stop reading because of the subject matter and because of the way the book is set up.  5/5

Compelling and twisty, a story about a kidnapped child, from two different mother‘s POV‘s...with two separate narrators for each...except a small chapter from the kidnapped child‘s POV...which was actually my favorite POV. I think I would‘ve liked more from Ethan since he was by far the smartest out of all the characters, he was like a little MacGuyver.

Gah! This book was so good! I listened to the first half on audio, but found myself getting into the story more once I switched over to the physical book. This is another one towards #TheUnreadShelfProject, and number 224 for the year.

Here‘s my estimate for the first day of the #27Hours7Days Readathon. To be honest, it was probably more than that, but it‘s hard to say without a timer. I finished my #BookSpin pick yesterday, along with 10 children‘s books from the #1001ChildrensBooks list, and 16 comics for my #100GNsin2020 goal. It was a great day for reading, and I can only hope I can carry on with this momentum. 💙

I realized during the climax of the book that I‘ve read this before. Maybe it says something for the book that I remembered nothing until the end? It‘s a story about a boy who‘s kidnapped, told from 2 pov. (Also, I don‘t think the author is familiar with children. The 8 yr old boy is described as being very small for his age, and then that he weighs 90 lbs. My small 8 yr old weighs maybe 60 lbs soaking wet; my 5‘ 15 yr old tops out at 95. So.)

This book was admittedly a let down. It had such promise in subject matter and with a personal connection to the author. I really wanted to like the book, but found myself bored, losing whatever minor interest I gained every time a chapter ended & the narrator changed. Very predictable & disappointing.

This book started out as a pick for sure ... but it lost some of the build up for me near the end. It was predictable and a little too cheesy for me. I do enjoy the author‘s writing style and would like to read more by her! I will be mailing to you soon @minkyb and hopefully it arrives much faster than the last one!! #lmpbc

Perfectly paced, no sense of feeling contrived, really good. The final chapter added a lot. I didn‘t find the chicken bone analogy to be resonant. I wish something more had happened btw two of the characters. No spoilers here. ;) Solid suspense. Interesting characters and plot. Definitely recommend.

I just started Three Days Missing by Kimberley Belle and I can‘t put it down! I highly recommend this book because it really captures the essence of a mother‘s protective nature and love towards her children. As I was reading I wanted to hug Kathryn (protagonist) and console her. This book contains one sensitive topic: Divorce. Enjoy!!!

MinDea @Rebesta it's pretty simple! You just add a blurb and then click add Image! If you want to create a post with a photo and the piece that asks the questions a lot of us use other apps to do that. I use pic collage. It's free and pretty simple to use. Then when it's created you can easily access it to add to a Litsy post! People screenshot a post that has the questions and brings that into the app like pic collage and then add your photo! 6y

Woa!! 5 ☆ for a thriller definitely worth the read, it kept me in suspense to it‘s very end.
One child is taken while another was the intended victim, meanwhile two mothers are shocked + desperate for answers to solve the puzzle. One mother is struggling to make ends meet while the other has it all.. but you never know what‘s going on in another persons life behind closed doors.. or exactly who you can trust!!

Different POV‘s from two women leading very different lives. One of their sons went missing while on a school camping trip but was the other child the intended victim. Quick and engaging read-not super twisty in my opinion but entertaining nonetheless.

TieDyeDude There is an amazing Kurosawa film, High and Low, with a similar plot. A wealthy man's servant's son is kidnapped and ransomed, though the wealthy man's child was the target. 6y

Eggs When is the move 6y
JoScho @Eggs I‘m not really sure. I would like to get it done before the new school year starts mid-August but I am super overwhelmed by the packing but even more so the repairs. A tree growing beside my house has messed up the foundation so first the tree has to be removed and then RamJack has to come stabilize the foundation. I was prepared to do things like paint cabinets and baseboards not jack the house up 😔 I am so glad you love that little egg. 6y
Eggs Oh my that does sound like a lot to be done! Sorry you have to deal with tree removal and foundation issues. I have an egg collection and I would get eggs as gifts; but no one has given me an egg for about 20 years!!!! So that was special 🤗💕 6y
