Started a new series because I didn't have enough going already. 🙃 🤣 This is the first book in the series about a group of women who survive a crash landing on a prison planet. Not a bad start to an alien romance series. I liked the characters and plot; especially, liked that there was enough drama to keep the story interesting. 3.5⭐️

This was an enjoyable and easy read. However, Barbara Neely does not shy away from concersations of race and how they impact the main character. Excellent read and wonderful narrator for this story. Recomended for a easy mystery.

This book was admittedly a let down. It had such promise in subject matter and with a personal connection to the author. I really wanted to like the book, but found myself bored, losing whatever minor interest I gained every time a chapter ended & the narrator changed. Very predictable & disappointing.

This is the first time in years that I haven‘t been able to attend the Festival of Faith and Writing in Michigan. I‘m not gonna lie, I cried a little.

My husband, who presented and manned the exhibition table for his quarterly book review, took on my dork mantle and got a bunch of books signed (which I‘d pre-purchased when I thought I would be attending.) PLUS, he bought me surprises!

Book 5 of this weekend is done. I figured out who was behind the bombs about 1/3 of the way through, but the suspense of seeing who lived abd how they survived made it worth continuing. It was not necessarily my favorite, but it was still a good read.
