4 ⭐I remember when the first don‘t push the button came out. I was reading it with my three-year-old nephew on my iPad, so when he pushed the button the page would change and things would magically happen. The push the button books are about the only time I have found this style of book that can live up to Press Here. this short sweet, very interactive book will be loved by children whether read as a go to bed book or read and story time.

Guess Who, Haiku | Deanna Caswell

My favorite coworker at the library, who has also worked as a nature educator, created a haiku challenge for #NationalPoetryMonth. She‘s provided photo inspiration (complete with ID). I chose the pictured and tried my hand:

Delicate flower
I am not. Instead, call me
a sensitive fern.

If this is the kind of nerdy wordiness that appeals to you, I‘m sure she‘d be thrilled to have more entries!

Bookwormjillk I love it! 2w
monalyisha @Bookwormjillk The more I learned about sensitive ferns, the more I felt correct in my assertion: e.g. “The name comes from its sensitivity to frost, the fronds dying quickly when first touched by it.” Girl, same. 😂🥶😅 2w

DebinHawaii Brilliant! 🌿💚🌿 I often joke that I am a “delicate blossom” but now I will say sensitive fern instead! 😉🤣 2w
monalyisha @DebinHawaii I was so tickled (and pleased) to learn its name! 2w

I set a goal of one book. Only because I like having the year end round up graphic generated. Also it feels very rewarding seeing it tell you that have read 1000% of your goal. And I do enter my books on storygraph and Goodreads mostly because I have accidentally checked out a book I really didn't care for and didn't realize it until I read far enough into it.

I wanted to find a video to show how you‘re supposed to use the book but I decided to just take a picture in motion.

I love how this story creates movement. It also uses such simple colors to really create a fun blending of colors and again, movement.

This book is really short, but it's so much fun! This book is fun for everyone. It has bright colors and a silly little story, but it also teaches kids about colors and has an underlying message about how actions have consequences. I appreciate this book because even for an adult, it's silly, fun, and makes me want to reread it 100 times.

I would use this book in my classroom for entertainment purposes. The book starts with the bus driver asking the audience to watch the bus and make sure the pigeon doesn't drive the bus.

Where's Baby? | Anne Hunter

“Hi, Papa! Can we do that again?“ This quote shows the relationship be tween the dad and the baby and I think it is really adorable.
