A better look at the candies from the African American candy collection that @Chrissyreadit sent in my #BlitsyHistoryMonth swap.🍬😍 it includes crystallized cane sugar, maple sugar(my favorite!😍😍😍), Carver brittle, candied rose/violet petals, Hot Tamales, Charleston Chew, pecans, peppermint Gibraltar, molasses pulls, a piece of licorice root, dried fruit, and sorghum. Can‘t wait to try these later!
Thank you for making the first #BlitsyHistoryMonth Swap a success! Thanks for those who participated and those that supported the efforts by engaging in other ways. Participants: be on the lookout for a survey from me for ideas on how to make it even better NEXT YEAR!!
Yes, #BHMSwap2020 will be open INTERNATIONALLY!
P.S. If you‘re taking part in a swap...please be kind to your hosts...it‘s a lot of work going on behind the scenes!
I finally made it home to open my #blitsyhistorymonth swap and OMG!😍🤗 It was so worth the wait. I love everything I received. @cocomass I truly thank you💖 my 10 yr daughter is already asking can she read my books😂🤦🏾♀️. The twizzlers are already open😏. I will wear my shirt with pride✊🏾 @Chelleo thanks for doing this, it was fun.💖💖
THANK YOU @Chelleo both for being an amazing #blitsyhistorymonth host AND for my amazing package!! 😍 I wish I‘d taken a picture of the fabulous wrapping before tearing it open. I love these books, and I love that you chose a few for me! My shirt‘s wonderful—clearly you picked up on my love of black poets. I‘m happy you patronized black owned businesses/museums on my behalf. And of course the Obamas 💕 And a mug for my tea ✊🏽 So thoughtful 😊
OMG I am obsessed with this box of goodies! I love all of the things from Harper‘s Ferry & the Storer College flag, pin, & book!😍 also so excited to try these candies. (BTW I am kicking myself for not thinking of going to local historical sites- Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass both lived in this area) THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU❤️❤️❤️ #bhm #blackhistorymonth #blitsyswap #litsylove #swaplove
