I‘ve enjoyed making my way through this mystery anthology this month. My favorite was the last story, and the inspiration for the title. In Hotel California the famous song is told through the eyes of a social media influencer. And it was as creepy as it sounds.

I like this cozy mystery series that takes place on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It‘s totally unrealistic that the library‘s book club happens to read a book that pertains to the murder every time, but who cares. They‘re fun and easy reads.

JamieArc I read the first in this series while vacationing in Nags Head. It was really cool to visit the lighthouse though quite disappointing that it‘s not an actual library. 6mo

I was excited to read this follow up with the #pemberlittens crew. This time Miss Tilney & Mr Darcy are reunited during separate visits to the same area & are witnesses to the poisoning of Mrs Willoughby. They once again team up to find the killer. The mystery was less engaging this time (I suspected the murderer early on) but the slow burn romance between the two young people is really what carries thestory

Nell hasn't spoken to her father in 7 years when he is found dead at his desk at the NYPL. When she discovers his portfolio contains the worthless map that caused their massive fight, she knows there is more to his death. As mysterious break-ins keep occurring at the library but nothing is stolen, she must reach out to people from the past to find the truth
This was very engaging and I really liked the flashback chapters & how it all came together

I‘ve read this a few times, but this is the first time I‘ve done the audiobook. I still loved it, and jumped a few times when listening to this on walks. The book is so different from the movie (though I like them both.)

gossamerchild Yes, the book was fabulous! SK is such a hit or miss for me, but this book is so well-written and compelling. I love the movie equally, though ;-D 6mo

A fast paced techno thriller. Bigger than life Elon Musk type Cy challenges ten people to evade his surveillance technology for thirty days. If they do they get 3 million dollars. This book moved, and was hard to put down once I started.

I haven't had much time to get on Litsy between work and family shenanigans (why is all my out-of-town family visiting during my busiest time of year?! Get it together, people! 😂) BUT I have still been reading quite a bit, which is great because I really felt like my mojo was lacking for a couple months. This week was a mix of #LMPBC, #LOTRChapteraDay, #KindredSpiritsBuddyRead, and some random books for #Scarathlon. All were enjoyable but ⬇

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) besides The Two Towers, none of them were exceptional. However, I've participated in loads of challenges and readathons, so I'll be getting into an excessive amount of hashtags below! Thank you to all the lovely hosts of these fun challenges. I'm really enjoying them, even if I don't always post about them!! 6mo

Lauredhel Goodness me and I thought I was overdoing the challenges! Lol 6mo
TheAromaofBooks @Lauredhel - Any excuse for another spreadsheet 😂 Most of these are just for Scarathlon. My year-long challenge list is significantly more reasonable!! 6mo
TheSpineView Great job! That is a lot of stuff to keep up with! 6mo
Lauredhel @TheAromaofBooks so you just pretend your hobby is reading; it‘s actually Excel 🤣 (edited) 6mo

Marmie7 @LiseWorks I forgot to add the word search points. Is it too late? That would be an additional 8960 pts. 6mo
LiseWorks Oh that's good we will add them at the end of the month. I'll put on my tally to start you off. I did the same thing, don't worry. 6mo

A low pick. I love Heller‘s nature writing, but thought he did so much better describing it without the lectures in his other books. I know wolf hunting in National Parks is bad. I‘m just here for the story. He‘ll remain an auto buy for me though because of where he sets his books.
