This little book is really for the super fans of ED (as I am!) It takes a handful of themes and then gives you sections of EDs letters that relate to the theme. The difficulty is there is very little biographical information in here so you don‘t really understand who she is writing to or what her relationship is with that person. It was nice to get a feel for the domestic details of her life - but I think this is best read alongside a biography.

I‘m back!!! {{Sort of}} Between jet lag, migraines and overall stress, I haven‘t picked up a book or listened to an audio since last Sunday!! So NO #BookReport this week but here are the two books I‘m hoping to finish before the month ends. Petal is for bookclub on Wednesday and tagged audio is GREAT but my headspace is 💩💩💩

Centique I‘m glad you‘re back! Hope your head space is getting better 💕 Poor old dad is out of hospital but they didn‘t manage to rehabilitate him to his previous abilities - so he‘s not coping well back in his new apartment - and it‘s still lockdown so no family assistance. I think he probably needs to go into a full rest home facility so a decision on that is the next thing. Hopefully he‘s coming to accept that idea too 💕💕 3y

That ridiculous feeling when your newest book/audio matches your #FridayFlowers 🌻💛🧡 I‘m already loving this new one from JennyLawson😊and again, I‘m amazed how relatable her struggles are, although I‘ve only lost a shoe once and it belonged to my son, who was 2 at the time 😉oh and now I remember that same son once came off a plane when he was 11 with only one shoe because he claimed someone on the flight barfed all over his shoe so he left it

The new Murderbot novel is every bit as good as I hoped. I‘ve been on a non-stop adventure for 350 pages with one of my favourite characters and now I‘m lying back in the sun exhausted, with a happy glazed look. 😍 If you like the idea of “Space MacGyver” with a sweary, grouch of a cyborg (who has a heart of gold) then you need to pick up the first in this series - All Systems Red.
Also - and completely off book aesthetic - Friday Flowers!

Timing is everything...as more & more cases of Coronavirus are being confirmed this book no longer feels dystopian 😳 ✅
I‘m a fan of short chapters, especially when they have #WitAndGrit which this book contains ✅
The bright pink cover is making me happy #ThinkPink ✅

Megabooks @Cinfhen flowers are gorgeous!! 😍😍 I‘m using this for #panasianauthor on my #booked2020. Now I only have tartan noir left 👎🏻 I had to look that one up on google. I have a Denise Mina on my kindle that should fit the bill. I have sooo much to read right now that idk when I‘ll get to it. I have a chance because it‘s kindle and my backlog is mainly physical and audiobooks. Lol!! 4y

Cinfhen I think it‘s being overblown too, but it‘s starting to effect everyday life where I am. My flights to the US for mid March have been canceled 😡😩 @Reviewsbylola and several of our friends are currently in self quarantine because they were in Italy skiing and another family was in Westchester NY at the same synagogue that week where the outbreak was. Of course I was meant to have Purim dinner with both families but now it‘s canceled 4y

Reviewsbylola That‘s so annoying!! We‘re supposed to travel to Europe next month and I‘m guessing we may not be able to go now. There are no cases in Ohio (yet) so it really hasn‘t affected us. 4y

I quite enjoyed this slim novel. For a book under 200 pages it really contained loads of gorgeous prose and plenty of juicy plot. A truly well crafted gothic mystery that would lead to wonderful book club discussion. Glad I finally read this Australian classic❤️

My first Colm Toibin! This book was gifted to me by a very special friend and I recognize why she thought I‘d appreciate Nora. (Which I absolutely did) Nora is a young widow, mother/ sister in a small Irish village where she‘s been since birth and everyone has come to see her in a certain light. As Nora starts to make small changes they create big ripples for those around her. It‘s a quiet read with plenty of strong character development. 👇🏼
