First time reading this author and will not be my last. This is the first in a series featuring the character Tracy Crosswhite a detective with the Seattle police department. I just happened to stumble upon the first book and glad I did. If you like legal thrillers I definitely recommend! Kind of like a John Grisham of the West Coast!

My current book haul at the free lending library‘s in town. This this will keep me busy for a bit 😁 Currently reading My Sisters Grave…any suggestions on what to read next?

#bookhaul #lendinglibrary #weekendreads

atl_scfl Let me know how the Harlan Coban book is! I read Tell No One by him, which was really good, but haven't had a chance to read any more. One day, we need to plan a free library road trip around town and find books 😆😆 1y
Bec_lectic @atl_scfl that‘s sounds like a plan.. the rich neighborhoods are the best! I‘m reading My Sisters Grave which is pretty good and may read the Coban book next. 1y
KaylaCReviews Ugh, I loved My Sister's Grave. So many emotions. I haven't read the other books in that pic, so I can't say which would follow My Sister's Grave well, but I would have happily followed it with Red Dragon by Thomas Harris. 1y
Bec_lectic @KaylaCReviews thanks for the suggestion! I‘ll add it to my list. I definitely enjoyed My Sisters Grave. 1y

Devoured in 2 evenings. That is my rating. This was another very successful Amazon prime free pick. Tracy's little sister disappeared. Is she ever going to find out the truth? Why are those who should be on her side fighting her every step of the way? No down time while reading this, it kept me locked in.

Overall Rating 4⭐ | Narration 😁 = Very Good

The narration was quite good and the MC is likable, the story did get a little tedious at times and sometimes it was difficult to keep track of what timeline the story was in. But overall, not a bad start to a series. This whole series has 7 books and counting for me to sink my teeth into. I‘m intrigued enough by this first book to continue the series.

I don't know where the last month went. The last time I posted we were having a snowstorm with a power outage. Today I sat out on the porch in the sun. It was a lovely 60 degrees. The daffodils are blooming. Spring is just around the corner. I'll do my best to check in more often...geeze! How's everyone doing? ❤️🌼

Texreader It was a lovely day! Glad you got to enjoy it! 2y
julesG Definitely ready for spring. We've had a few cold days with hurricane like winds and thunderstorms lately. Longing for warmer days to go reading outside. 2y

Loved this book! I love detective novels (I have also nearly finished the Women‘s Murder Club books by James Patterson), and this was excellently written. I would give it 4/5 stars (only docking a star for slight predictability). I read these 410 pages with ease, and can‘t wait to read the rest of the books in this series.

I signed up to take a writing course with this gent and thought I should read some of his work before then! This book makes it obvious why he is the cornerstone of Thomas and Mercer. Great characters and pacing ,settings that come to life and a classic murder case come together to make one hell of a book. There will be more Dugoni in my future.

Tracy Crosswhite is a Seattle detective obsessed by the murder of her sister 20 years earlier. Although Edmund House was convicted of the murder, Tracy never thought the evidence added up. When her sister‘s body is finally discovered, Tracy tries to put together the final pieces of the puzzle. I enjoyed the legal and psychological drama of this book and I discovered it‘s the first in a series. I thought the ending had a good twist!

#LitsyAtoZ continues with this chiller. Tracy Crosswhite is a homicide detective who lost her "bratty" little sister 20 years ago. She vanished. Now, her bones have been found. I can hardly wait to read what comes next. It is hard to put this one down.

Sadly, my TBR will grow since it is a series. I have to stop reading and loving series if I want to reduce Mount TBR. ?

Day 27 #emojinov #🎯I really enjoy the Tracy Crosswhite series by Robert Dugoni. It hits many of my mystery/thriller 🎯targets-strong female protagonist, good supporting characters, police procedural, set in Seattle (I lived there for 7 years), etc. Also Tracy was a competitive sharpshooter growing up & now she often helps coach her fellow female officers with target practice & shooting instruction to enable them to get their gun qualification.🎯

Kappadeemom I love these too 💝 5y
