A History of Modern Europe | John M. Merriman

I‘ve worked my way up to the Enlightenment. Since I only read this for #coffeeandbooks with hubby, I‘m pretty pleased with my progress. A lot of what I read today, which also covered the scientific revolution, overlaps with a Great Courses lecture series on science and religion that we are currently watching. It‘s interesting to compare perspectives.

tpixie So glad you can do this. Our weather in Kansas has been great this last two mornings- it was actually cool this morning! So thankful after having over 100° days last week. I‘ve had too much work to do to be able to sit outside so I‘m glad someone gets to! 4w

The White Darkness | David Grann

Nice healthy lunch out with my son today before we did errands. My meal of mashed avocado, tomatoes, red onion, & bacon, with a garnish of cilantro was delicious! We decided to stay, sip our iced drinks & read a bit before venturing out for the afternoon. Started one of my library books ( tagged) which had a map of Antartica.

Treating myself to cinnamon muffin & coffee after hearing that my “nerve bruise” (for lack of a better word) that has my whole right arm burning may last a few more months. When I gave blood last February,Red Cross stuck a nerve. would be more tolerable but it‘s my right arm & I am righ handed- it‘s amazing what we do with our arms that either I cannot do or increases pain. Like texting. Thanks for listening my Litsy friends!

Clwojick 😬😬😬😬I feel your pain! I had one on the top half of my left arm, and it was like that from September until April. 😑 It slowly fades. At first it was so bad that my sweater rubbing on my skin felt like fire, but after a few weeks it just feels numb and tingly when you rub it. I honestly thought it was never going to feel normal again, but it finally does! 4mo

julesG I can't believe this happened while donating blood. ??? Hope it gets better rather sooner than later. As a person with MS I can say, sensibility issues are something I hate, but have become a "normal" thing for me. Still, sweaters, trousers, underwear feeling like they are chafing on a sunburn are driving me nuts. @Clwojick 4mo

julesG Yep, today is rather good. The plus side of hay-fever. ? My PT uses something called "intra sonic massage" when I have issues with my hands and fingers. It's like a deep tissue massage without being a massage. Maybe your PT has one of these massage wands and can try it with you. https://novafon.com/us/therapy. 4mo

Scochrane26 Did they recommend PT? That would prob help. I‘ve had slight ulnar nerve issues after surgeries on my elbow, & PT was good. 4mo
