Pretty excited for the next book on my audiobook list! 🎧
On to my second audiobook!
On to my second audiobook!
I remember being younger and wondering how my mom could listen to an audiobook... now I'm starting to get into them to help me reach my reading goal, and to give me motivation to do housework! 😂📚🤓❤
Trying to get this foot to calm down, and then headed to bed to read for a few! I love my munchkins and husband, but some nights I just miss being able to curl up with a glass of wine and a book in a quiet house! 📚❤👨👩👧👦
I totally forgot that a friend of mine loaned me this book and already started another! Should I put my (900+) page book on hold for this one? Anyone else read it? The excerpts she shared with me do look pretty funny! 📚🤓
Have you ever had a nostalgic flashback to a favorite book from your teen years??? Over the past year I have been randomly purchasing books I read in my early teens, but one is so obscure (but was a definite favorite) that I can't find it anywhere. I am so frustrated! 🤯
Here's to introducing my 10 year old stepdaughter into the Judy Blume world! We have done (my personal favorites) of Are You There God, It's Me Margaret and Just as Long as We're Together. Now we have completed Here's to You, Rachel Robinson, and started It's Not the End of the World. We are on a roll!
This book definitely provided more insight into Rachel as a character, and definitely has its place in the Blume universe. I recommend it!
Bought this thinking it was a Kindle version, then was mildly disappointed when I realized it wasn't. I LOVE physical books, don't get me wrong. But lately my Kindle and I have found our sweet spot (mostly between 10pm and 2am when everyone else is asleep). This might end up having to be a beach read this year. 📚🤓❤
My sister and I have been doing a lot of babysitting for each other over the past few months... I've noticed that since my nieces have been here more weekends, that they have started to ask me to read to them. Not sure if that is because they see my one year old constantly bringing books to me that he loves or because they are excited that someone will read to them, but I'm happy to help them broaden their horizons! #raisingbooknerds
Trying to read my book, but I am so exhausted that I keep dozing off! 😭
I hate when that happens in the only time I get to myself all day long...
Is it just me, or is anyone else excited about the book haul that their littles took home for Christma? When asked what they needed for Christmas my answer was always, "we could use some new books."
My stepdaughter snagged the Princess Diaries box set, and Judy Moody #4. And Baby Boy lucked out with Yertle the Turtle and Other Stories, Bruce's Big Move, Santa Bruce, and several titles from Usborne Books. ❤❤❤
@JillPill I am so excited for these! Plus the tote bag is super adorable, and candy is always a good call! My stepdaughter had the box of chocolates open before we even read the card, and my husband is super excited to try the coconut patties! 😉
I spend my days surrounded by constant noise, and I don't mind it. I even turn things on when I am home to keep this trend going.
Today I am enjoying (really enjoying) a few quiet moments to myself with my book on a perfectly rainy, cold, fall day, with just the raindrops as my background noise.
Ok, I'm done (for now?). I just had to put this one back on the shelf.... I finally got into it (!), and then it got slow again.... and I mean super slow. I'm not finding much interesting, I can read maybe a page or two before falling asleep, and have seriously been considering adding it to my dnf pile... which is super small. Anyone read this that can provide me with any solid reason to finish it? I'm 65% off the way through it....
Current reading list between myself and the kids... About to finish the Tales of Beedle the Bard with my 10 month old tomorrow though! I may or may not be reading him books that I have wanted to read for myself for years in order to further my 2018 reading goal.... #sorrynotsorry #mykidshelpmereadmore #ireadchapterbookstomybaby
