TheSpineView A nice sunny day but windy which made it chilly. After weeks of mostly cloudy and rainy days we are finally getting a break. Did my weekly grocery store trip and the usual household stuff. Just a normal day. 3y

Velvetfur I've been going through another long, drawn-out faff of a job application which has been quite stressful and has made my mental health wobble a bit, but I've also started my online CBT so hopefully that will be of help soon. Best of luck for Monday! 3y

tracey38 Had a busy but productive day. Had to get my oil changed and car inspected. Then came home and cleaned and vacuumed car since we finally had a Saturday without rain and freezing cold temps. 3y

Crazeedi I'm hanging in there, because its supposed to warm up Monday! It's so cold today, I sat by the woodstove reading and listening to podcasts most of the day 3y

How was Wednesday? Very interesting & full on day as we met with leaders discussed the future structure of the school leadership team and producing a new future direction for the school. Reshaping our vision which is fit for mid 21st century. Something I have been working on for a while during both lockdowns but implementing it has been delayed by COvID. All very exciting!

Andrew65 Been at school 14 years and want new energy. Achieved outstanding for the school in last OFSTEd inspection in October 2013 but want to now start this new journey. Basically a new five year plan using the pandemic as the watershed to it. Late tonight as discussions spread into night and only finished at 10.15 pm. (edited) 3y

CocoReads Sounds like a good day for you. Today was fine work wise, really lovely weather so I took the dog for a walk when I got home. My friends POS husband pled not guilty today so now we wait for another court date. She gives a deposition next week and next court date isn‘t until May. 🤬 justice is blind snd slow. 3y

kezzlou85 My eldest had a parents evening and I couldn't be more proud. She's doing amazing and is so smart. Definitely doesn't get it from me lol. She works so hard and they were full of praise. 3y

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @TrishB our numbers are down! I called someone today and we only have 14 patients. We previously had 5 units dedicated to covid patients. I‘m not sure about the other surrounding hospitals. 3y

EadieB @TrishB Yes our numbers are down. I‘m noticing day by day as more people are getting vaccinated things are getting better. They are saying here that by the end of May everyone who wants a vaccination will have an opportunity to get one. 3y

How was Tuesday? After a crazy first 11 days of the year today was almost normal, well as normal as things can be when at height of a global pandemic and trying to put final part of the #Remotelearning offer in place. Feel much calmer today but still far from sleeping well. finally got an email to say 42 device ordered from DFE before Christmas have been dispatched, hopefully not long now!

Velvetfur I'm glad to hear the devices will arrive soon for the kids 👍🏻 I just went for a walk then visited parents. It was my housemate's Mum's birthday today, she popped round for a bit while I was out, and I suddenly realised that I too will have a lockdown birthday in a week and a half (21st)! That feels weird... 3y

Then I was I formed today I was in contact with a patient who tested positive for covid after leaving our clinic. Ugh. Like I need more anxiety. And yet, I'm really still trying to stay positive for 2021! 🙄 3y

How was Monday? Still a bit tired today. Then technology god tried to play with me. Whole computer locked up by virus today so lost a whole morning and more, increased stress level. Computer gods I don‘t have time for this #£&@! Aside from that mostly okay, but another very long and intense day! Positive test we had wasn‘t in school during the infectious period so that is good. Hope things improving for others.

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Took the pup to the vet for a check up (healthy, happy, & heartworm negative) then went to the office. I had a few tasks to do that required just enough attention that an audiobook was out of the question so I only read a little bit today. Tomorrow night be more of the same. The restaurant on the ground floor is on the roof at 10pm to clean a vent, rolling things around, stomping like they're pillaging a village. 🤬 Never dull at Cara Lofts! 3y

BookwormM 🤞everyone is negative. So far 2021 is looking worse than 2020 my boss‘s mum died of Covid today she caught it in hospital where she was being treated for septicaemia and a friends husband is on 80% oxygen in hospital with Covid. I am shielded again until at least 21st Feb so that will be at least 8 months since I saw my mum and honestly I need a change of scenery for my mental health. 3y

IamIamIam Sometimes our coping mechanism is just to shut down. I hope you got some well needed rest!! I've been struggling with a sore throat and was debating a covid test until I got slammed with all the other symptoms of reflux and my ulcer kicking up. 😤😤😤 I'm surprised it took so long!! Got a bit of reading done and we de-Christmased the house as well. Love to all today!! 3y

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Rest up Andrew. Stress is tiring. Glasses shopping with my guy. It's one of those tasks that I dislike doing with him because he is very unsure what he wants and researches various colors available online, etc. Add the mask in and I'm going a little batty. I have researched a few reading challenge books though so I'm multitasking. I miss my family, too. Generally I've been good, but today I just really want my dad's pancakes or a hug from mom. 3y

Lynnsoprano Good day, but so concerned to read comments here. So many struggles. Get some rest @Andrew65. @IamIamIam hubby and I have both dealt with GERD, feel your pain. @Crazeedi I missed that your hubby wasn‘t doing well, hope things get better soon. Enjoyed cool (for us) weather, walked this morning and spent rest of the day watching football. Grandson is here for first time in a month, fun but worrisome given COVID statistics. I hate that hugs are scary 3y

Crazeedi @Lynnsoprano he had his spine implant yesterday for his pain management, so hes recovering from the surgery. It's a blessing because the trial reduced his pain 70% , so after 2 or more years of severe pain hes going to have relief! We are hopeful and thrilled with technological advances 3y

How was Today? Wow! What a day. So much speculation whether schools will open Monday. Unions now getting staff to write to heads refusing to come in under Health and Safety Laws. So much pressure on the government and what have they done today, STAYED SILENT even though unions taken them to court. Total mess. Changed Monday‘s training day to remote and not in school whilst we see what happens. Total nightmare!

CocoReads What a mess. Last nights I‘ve storm resulted in a mess and we‘re out of power until estimates Monday at 3. Staying at my parents since they have power. Blessed to have someplace to go as it‘s very cold at my house with no power or water. 3y

kezzlou85 What a start to 2021 nobody knows whats going on. As a parent its bad enough but I feel for you more. My youngest is in year 6 so should go back Monday but who knows. Numbers are rapidly rising here but just need a decision either way. All this not knowing is a nightnare 3y

TrishB Universities received a letter on 31st Dec, to say that except for clinical/health programmes no f t f teaching could take place before 25 Jan and only after a review on 18th. We had multiple lab sessions supposed to start in other areas on 4 Jan 😞😞 all last minute stuff to turn round at difficult times! 3y

MsMelissa It‘s been determined that elementary kids won‘t go back in person until a week Monday, while the high school kids will do remote learning until Jan 25. My daughter is not happy about this. She wants to go back in person. I wouldn‘t be surprised if they extend the remote learning, since our case counts are currently the highest they‘ve ever been. (edited) 3y

MsMelissa Locally we are doing (or at least we had been) the best of any city in North America and Europe with a population over 1M, but since the whole province is locked down we are too. Probably a good thing, as our local numbers appear to be on their way up again. 3y

How was New Year‘s Day? Unfortunately today we found out my wife‘s mother is in hospital with COvID, she‘s also got dementia and diabetes. Now keeping our fingers crossed as she lives in a different part of the country and not been able to see her in a while as working in a school am not wanting to take COvID to her! Great start to a new year. 🙈😳🙄

Andrew65 @BookwormM Yes I‘ve had to make changes to my diet as suffering from non alcohol fatty liver disease. Wouldn‘t mind but don‘t drink, never smoked and didn‘t think my diet was that bad. Had to cut out a lot of fats and processed food which is a great pain! 3y

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I'm wishing her a speedy recovery. Today was similar to yesterday with a walk and cleaning, but no reading. I started tallying up points & readathons. After the event heavy months I usually need a few days to recharge, so I don't mind. We have an appointment later to play more Jackbox games over zoom with my brother & his family. My guy is trying to find Karate Kid on a streaming service to make me watch. I really don't need to see it.🙄 3y

We lost our other kitty yesterday, so I've had a very hard week. I'm emotionally exhausted. Both had long happy lives, it's just hard. Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Sending a comforting hug your way 💙 This morning was fairly lazy, with light cleaning & reading. This afternoon we went to the local Warby Parker store and ordered my first pair of glasses. They're just for distance when needed, so they're nothing fancy but I'm happy to have found them. So many others at other shops are big and/or gaudy. Now ordering Chinese food and will likely watch a movie or two. 3y

Lynnsoprano Sending hugs; those memories can be hard to deal with. Quiet day here, which I really appreciated. Finished the book I was reading, read some of a book I got for Christmas, a short walk. Enjoying the day. 3y
