Debut author Royce Prouty offers a spellbinding tale of history, folklore, destiny, and redemption. Joseph Barkeley has a gift. But rarely does Joseph get a job this delicate and well-paying. A mystery buyer has hired him to authenticate the original draft of Bram Stokers Dracula. When he travels to Transylvania to personally deliver the manuscript to the legendary Bran Castle, Barkeley, a Romanian orphan himself, soon realizes that his employer is the son of the infamous Vlad Dracula. But as he delves into the history of Dracula and his own lineage, Barkeley discovers that his selection for this job was based on more than his talent with rare books. Now, he has a perilous decision to makesave his life with a cowards flight, or wage a deadly battle with an ancient foe.

Laughterhp Does it have to be scary movies? Or can it just be Halloween movies? (I only watch kid/Tim Burton Halloween movies) 5y
BeansPage @Laughterhp those will definitely count as long as there are Halloween films 😉 5y
MaleficentBookDragon GO #TeamStoker!!!🦈👻🎃😈👹🐙🕷🦇 5y
WildQuibble Can I just clarify what you mean by directly related to Halloween? (Do you mean it‘s in the title, set at Halloween, etc? Or is it broader than that?) 5y
BeansPage @PlayingBonny yes of course sweetheart, we mean a book with Halloween in the title, that is set during Halloween, or that is about Halloween. 5y
WildQuibble @TheReadingMermaid okay, thank you (I have a lot of Halloween-y stuff so it was just to work out how narrow a band we‘re talking, given that it‘s worth more points than the team theme). 5y
Jesstifies YAS! Question: what is #24B4Monday exactly? Seems like maybe trying to get 24 hours of reading done in a particular timeframe? Also I am curious how everyone feels about audio books “counting“ as reading for these types of events? I usually switch between book and audio book normally, but want to make sure i'm keeping it official :D 5y
BeansPage @Jesstifies yes you have it exactly. It is a read-a-thon that takes place every last weekend of the month starting Thursday night at midnight and ending Sunday night at midnight. The goal is to hit 24 hours of reading within that time frame but the main goal is just to read and have fun with your fellow bibliophiles 😁 as for audiobooks, they absolutely count. A book is a book no matter what format 😉 5y
kymmiesreads @TheReadingMermaid so this is how I know what team I‘m on? (edited) 5y
BeansPage @kymmiesreads no, this is the point breakdown. These are the points that you will accumulate throughout the month of October for your team. 😉 5y
jessinikkip Who-hoo! I cant wait! 5y
xxjenadanxx Yay! I'm on a team! Lol. This is exciting, I can't wait! 5y
Readergrrl I‘m very eager to get started! 5y
night_shift 🎉🦇🎉🦇 5y
jessinikkip Ok, probably a dumb question, but what do you mean by participation posts in the events? Specific events or is every post worth another point? 5y
BeansPage @jessinikkip that simply means every post that you use with one of our hashtags. 5y
jessinikkip Ah, cool. Thanks! 5y
BeansPage @jessinikkip be sure to also tag your team captain so that we can keep track of your points 😉😘😘 5y

"Lost in the night, somewhere, there is all that once was and no more is, what got lost, what was uprooted, from living time to time that's muted. In Hades is--all that is passed. From Archeron, the river vast, all memories to us return. In Hades is--all that is passed the Aprils and loves we yearn." Lucian Blaga Romanian Poet
