@JoScho I just got this in the mail today and what a wonderful surprise. I have been having a tough time lately and this has really brought a smile to my face. You really know how to brighten a complete strangers day.
pickAri is the perfect heroine - confident, funny, intelligent, humble, thoughtful... I could go on. Needless to say, I REALLY liked her. I also loved her brother and Sebastian, and I will say the villain is this story well developed.
pickThis was a book I randomly picked up while waiting for a library hold to come my way. I cannot say I was disappointed with this Rumplestiltskin retelling. The main characters are real and down to earth and the Rumplestiltskin character is quite crafty. Intrigue, death, and a captivating plot, I recommend this YA novel for fantasy enthusiasts.
Started the next Ravenspire book. I love that these books are stand alone, but set in the same world. #bookfitnesschallenge update: Well, I walked. Lol. I‘m coming at this from being super sedentary and very unhealthy. Anyway...it was a beautiful day and I walked for fun, for business, and as a workout. @wanderinglynn

so-soEngaging enough, but not a world I feel compelled to read more about. I‘m not sure if it was trying to be a retelling or not, and the plot devices were pretty thin. Finished listening to the audio on my flight from LAX to BWI, so here‘s a shot from the plane.
Back to my audiobook and just soaking it all up; the sun, the salty sea air, the roaring of the waves (had to turn the noise cancelling off for that).
Off to find brunch before finally finding my way down to the sand and sea. #Audiobook in my ears and wearing a light sweater and flip flops. Yes please.

I'm not much into a cutesy romance book but I think I took a pic of every love moment between Ari and Sebastian. It was seriously the cutest! I highly recommend this to everyone! Awesome job on the retelling of Rumpelstiltskin!

pickFor me, this book was between a so-so and a pick. Gave it a pick as it got a bit more fast paced at the end. As much as I love fairy tale retellings this one wasn't doing it for me as much as I would have liked.

pickI absolutely loved The Wish Granter. The main character Ari was so refreshing, and I really loved the fact that she wasn't a sword wielding type of kick ass but rather had to rely on her wits. I loved The Shadow Queen by too, the first in the Ravenspire series. pickIf you like adaptions in classic children's fairy tales this is a book for you.
An adaptation on Rumpelstiltskin its darker and more modern. The heroine and hero of the book is Princess Arianna and Sebastian the young male who has had it hard in life.
A very enjoyable read with some heartache and a moral to the end of the story. C J Redwine is an excellent author and keeps you gripped from the first sentence to the very last!

pickI really enjoyed listening to this book. The narrator was great and really made the story come alive. This was an interesting retelling of Rumplestiltskin. I liked that there were aspects of the fairytale but it wasn't exactly the same. I feel that they were trying to hard to keep harping on the fact that the heroine wasn't skinny and loved treats. It became annoying after a while. Overall it was a great story.

You will see dysfunctional relations, friendships, tragic moments, battles.Romance was "meh" but you will love Sebastian's voice.I will say 3.4⭐️nothing deep, just to entertain you.

pickOne of my favorite stories growing up was Rumplestiltskin. This was a fun revisit. It wasn't so much a retelling as a sequel, although there was a small flashback. In this book not only does Rumpelstiltskin trick the desperate, but he also runs a criminal drug empire. I know how it sounds but give it a chance. I really love the fact that the hero of the story was a kick-ass princess with a great mind that always keeps snacks in her purse.
pickI was never a huge Rumplestiltskin fan but I think CJ has made me one! I loved this! I think I may have even liked it better than The Shadow Queen! And Sebastian *swoons* I have a new book boyfriend!
