To think this past weekend we were in the upper 90s, and tomorrow morning it will be snowing, a 60+ degree drop. Meanwhile, we still have fires raging in parts of the state. Here‘s hoping the cooler temps and snow help the firefighters get a handle on the fires. #Colorado #Coloradoweather

Ripley and I went hiking this morning with our friends. We went to Alderfer/Three Sisters Park in Evergreen, CO. This was Ripley‘s longest and most difficult hike to date, but he handled it like he‘d been doing it his entire life. Here we are at the top at Brother‘s Lookout. #colorfulcolorado #hikingdog #dogsoflitsy #travel #mountainlife

bookandbedandtea @RainyDayReading I liked the "too rainy" and "vampires?" notes in your area. It's funny though- you know my hubs is from there, but in all the years we've gone there to visit I've NEVER had a rainy trip. We've always had beautiful weather. ? 6y

bookandbedandtea @Vertabrain @AmyG @Quirkybookworm I really hope we get enough rain to impact these fires. My happy place is Glenwood, which often includes side trips to Vail or Aspen. Especially the John Denver garden in Aspen...I can spend hours there! 6y

Vertabrain I read at the John Denver Sanctuary all the time. We actually just bought property outside of New Castle, and hope to move there full-time after our daughter‘s graduate from high school in a few years. Wow, it‘s a small world. I‘m new to Litsy, but it‘s fun to “meet” other people from the same area. 6y
