Took a break from this behemoth of a book (after 28 pages) to finish a NetGalley read. Now I'm hoping to get back to this! It's so big, though, I'm afraid it will take me ages to read it.

Last one!

Sorry this months cover love was so long. It's because publishers dump a lot of new kids books out in Aug and Sept for teachers to snap up for the new school year.

This was been a long wait for book 4. It took two years. I hope they get back into the one a year schedule.

Out October.

#CoverLove #KidsEdition

laurenbescoby I would say it depends on how long it takes the illustrator to illustrate it. Goblet of fire is the same size and more of the first 3 books combined, so I wouldn't be surprised if it is a 2 year wait between from here on 1mo
IvoryLunatic They are so worth waiting for though. I love them and can‘t wait to share them with our future kids. 1mo
xxjenadanxx I know! I was so disappointed when it didn't come out last year because I get them for my niece for Christmas every year. Glad to be back on track now! 1mo
LibrarianRyan @laurenbescoby that I would understand. But if you look up the page counts for the IL ED it‘s not much of a difference. I expected there to be but there isn‘t. 1mo
PaperbackPirate I can‘t wait! It threw me off of my yearly reread schedule. 3w

I finished the fourth book today! I always felt like this was the turning point in the series—after this book, the tone is much more serious and dark. I noticed that change a lot in this reread of the book, and I‘m looking forward to the rest of the series.

Hi everyone. Getting back into social media is proving difficult. Between technology problems while in PR and having too much to show/say in such a limited way, it‘s just felt easier to not try. I miss you all though, so I‘m going to give it a bit of effort as I‘m able. Tell me the most wonderful thing that‘s happened in the last month to help me jump back in? Drop a link to a post if that‘s easiest. 💜

Was going through an extremely difficult time in life. And I got a chance to volunteer at a book fair. Four days went by in between books. Made friends with fellow bookworms. That's us sorting through books and occasionally finding gems.
Tagging the book I'm currently reading. Harry Potter helps me get through difficulties.

All hail the mighty JK! I think she is the best writer I've ever read. If she wrote all the books published from now on, I wouldn't mind.
The Goblet of Fire - it is so action packed and there's a clear maturation happening setting us up for the later books. I still need to re-re-re-read 5,6&7 but this is my favourite so far, it's so good.

flying_monkeys GoF is my fave of the series, so I couldn‘t agree more 🤓 2mo

The new illustrated edition will be out in October. Guess who preordered it today!! I am so excited!

LibrarianRyan I have been wondering. This is a larger book than the first 3 in the series, but the illustrated edition seems to be about the same number of pages as the previous illustrated editions. I wonder if they will have fewer illustrations than the others. 3mo

This is the illustrated edition for book 4. It has been delayed a WHILE. However, i have noticed it is only one edition. Goblet of Fire is such a long book, I thought this would come in two volumes. But just one. And not a major page difference from the previous illustrated edition. So i wonder if they skimped on the illustrations. Only time will tell..

I am a huge Harry Potter fan and I do collect all the HP related things. This is the Italian edition of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I do not speak Italian (yet), although I understand part of it, but I love having books in multiple languages. Do you also collect books in different languages?

#harrypotter #collection #bookcollection

TCLinrow That's a cool cover 😊 and I have a few of my favourite books in other languages that my friend gave me (she speaks 8 languages, I just about speak 2!). Once I finish my degree I'm thinking I might try learning some new languages 😁 4mo
LineBookaholic Wow 8 is a lot! I speak 3 and I think it is already really difficult and I often mix them up haha. Reading the same book in different languages is so interesting, I love it 😊 4mo
TCLinrow I know! It's crazy to watch her when she's translating. I have no idea how she keeps all the languages clear in her head 😅 I've managed to read a couple of books in French and it feels so good! I love it too ☺ 4mo
LineBookaholic Oh great ! French is actually my native language 😁 I am glad I don't have to learn it though , it must be so hard ! 4mo

Another winner, though I did get a little bored with each villain rambling on about their respective brilliant plots only to be defeated because they didn‘t shut up and act faster. However, as a kids‘ book, it‘s totally understandable. 4/5. #hpbuddyread

During my first read of #HPseries I didn't like the books after the 3rd very much. I don't understand now what repelled me in the Goblet of Fire. It has some unexpected turns I didn't remember already, so I was shocked at least twice. It's much more serious and ambiguous with what characters do and why they do it. And there is a solid foundation for the main plot finally. So it's outright ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ after the reread!💚 #HPBuddyRead @TheReadingMermaid

Great reread of book #4! Loved the amount of details added in, the magic, adventurous tasks, and laughs. Still hated that Cedric had to die and how it happened. Now I can‘t wait to read more of what happens in the next book!! Bring on book #5!
