Professor Kirke‘s house. It sounds like a great house on its own… and it has a portal to Narnia inside! 😁

ozma.of.oz That was one I was considering too! Thank you for posting! 21h

I love this planter by my parents' pool. 🪴 It reminds me of #Aslan. What's your relaxing Saturday afternoon look like?

If you love character driven novels, you will like this one. I love books with lots of characters and perspectives, it draws me into the story and I don‘t get bored. But not for you if lots of characters in a scene is confusing or uninteresting for you.

I really liked this book. It was the perfect summer read. I could just picture what it would have been like to spend a summer vacation at the hotel in the Catskills. I enjoyed all the characters and all the secrets that came out from their long history as hotel owners and friends and moving on with the next generations as they came together to decide whether to sell the hotel.

✨Dancer. Writer. Model. Actress. Pilot. Nurse. ✨
These were all words to describe who Renie, my Grandmother, was; but her most treasured titles were Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She lost her battle with cancer yesterday. She was 92 years young 😎She spent 40+ years as a nurse; in retirement she wrote psychology textbooks, devotionals, and poetry. She modeled for a few years, too. She loved to read, and the tagged book ⬇️

MoonWitch94 series was her ultimate favorite. She bought them for me as a child. She loved wine, board games, reading mystery novels, tap dancing (she started at 75!!!) and acting. She was truly something. We will treasure the memory of this accomplished & complicated woman forever. Love you, Ia-Ia (pronounced Ya-Ya). 💜 1mo

Still catching up on reviews from last month. This one was a delight to read with the #sundaybuddyread crew. Tons of family dynamics and Catskills nostalgia. I fell in love with all the characters despite their many flaws and was rooting for them to figure out their best futures and the fate of their beloved hotel.

Picked this for my book set at a hotel or inn for #booked2022 and I LOVED it. Multi generational family saga set around a holiday resort in the Catskills this was soapy but so much fun…

AlaMich I am green with envy over that pool!!! 2mo
Itchyfeetreader @AlaMich tell me about it. Mine for just 5 days but enjoying every second of it! 2mo
