Still picking from books I own!

The 8th: Ghostly
Status: I have this one in hardcover, and I‘ve read it...although if he keeps putting off writing and publishing the next book I may have to re-read some of this series to remind myself what was going on with the many characters!🤷‍♀️

Sometimes I think I do too many rereads, but the beginning of the year was so swamped with work that I didn't have the energy to concentrate on many new books and now it feels wrong not to finish the series 😛

RachelAmphlett I love this series but admit I did struggle with this particular book. Out of so many hits though, I‘m not complaining! 6mo
Katerina @RachelAmphlett The one I like the least till now is Skin Game. It feels a bit like a filler episode that doesn't really add to the overall story. But as you said: no real complaints. 6mo

Rainy afternoon? Yes, please. Especially after that incredible heat wave.

This is the book I like the least in the Dresden Files. Not because of the quality of the book, but because of all the suffering Dresden's friends go through. Molly especially breaks my heart. I guess that actually speaks for the quality of the story.

So, my library had this audiobook on Libby but the version they had was a different narrator from the rest of the series. I didn't like that narrator so I caved and bought the Audible book with the narrator I was used to and liked (James Marsters) 😂

This will be the longest audiobook I've ever listened to. 😬

I have really enjoyed this series so far but I think this was a low point for me.

The ending was amazing but the beginning and middle were hard work

Every single time I read a Dresden Files book I lose interest about half way through and then a couple months later I come back and race through the second half totally in love with the series. Why do I do this? Whats wrong me with/Dresden?

"I mean, go figure. You prepare your home for an assault and you don't take zombies into consideration. I'd fallen victim to one of the other classic blunders, along with not getting involved in a land war in Asia and never going against a Sicilian when death was on the line." - Ghost story Dresden files, Jim Butcher

Objectively I feel like this probably should have been a so-so read for me. However I have no ability to be objective when it comes to Harry Dresden and I'm far too emotionally involved in these books to consider them any less then amazing. Basically what I'm saying is I loved it but don't trust me lol

Final total for the readathon was 7.5 hours. One complete book finished (the Alice Network) one previously started book finished (sideways stories from wayside high) and a few pages of Ghost Story by Jim Butcher. I only made it to 230 am and gave myself a junk food stomach ache but otherwise I'm very happy with this readathon. I burnt out on reading during the last one but I made a breaks a priority on this one. #readathon

I love this one. Harry has to confront what he did in the last book, both to himself & his friends, and come to terms with it. Butcher manages it, while still having great action & sass.

Dresden gets introspective. There was some hair-raising action, as always, and a lot of soul-searching -- literally. Nice twists.

TBT! The Dresden Files! How can you not love a series that references other great books/movies with lots of adventure and humor? I honestly don't know! One of my favorite on-going series that just gets better with each book.

Ukulelebob I love Jim butcher and princess bride 4y

Certainly not my favourite series but it is nice break from time to time when I need a fluff read that isn't a romance...

Book 13 in the Harry Dresden series. This book flips so many elements of the series - primarily Harry is dead. I liked how Harry has to consider how his actions have affected the world he lives in. Many series lose traction after a while but not this one.
