Really USPS? A package is shipped from PA to be delivered to a PA address and it ends up in NH??

I just don‘t understand...

LibrarianRyan happens in Illinois Frequently. If you are central or Southern Illinois, a lot of the mail gets cent to central sorting in St. Louis. and then back in. Even here. All the big rolling crates from Talking Books, get sent though central sorting.

rretzler I wish there could be a shaking head emoji! It‘s sort of like the IRS - for Ohio, some returns are sent to the service center in Cincinnati, OH (which is actually located in Kentucky) and the rest of the returns go to San Francisco, CA. 5y

blank @TheLibrarian Our sorting facility is usually Warrendale. I've never had them send them that far away for anything before. But who knows w USPS, they could have changed it. 5y

I thought it was a GREAT idea to order items for #witchpleaseswap & #Hocuspocusswap from Etsy & Thriftbooks along with my usual go-to of Amazon Prime. I thought “YAY, I can give my swap buddies even MORE books & unique items this way”. Five days later, this skeleton and I are one in the same. So, please bear with me on the packages, as soon as my items arrive, I‘ll ship. I promise it will be worth it ♥️ @monalyisha @adnama82 @rather_be_reading

Jess_Franzino I really hope so! Otherwise, I have to start all over again. I DID get some of your items that I ordered from Etsy. I‘m also making you one, as well. It MAY arrive after opening date if I don‘t get my items on time, but I think you‘ll adore your package when it gets there 😃 I love to go with “themes” on my swap boxes, so on occasion they take time to construct or the items I want aren‘t readily available. 6y

Jess_Franzino @adnama82 I just tried to contact ThriftBooks. Several books have been waiting at the USPS in NV for DAYS. I‘m starting to lose faith in them ☹️ I really should have read the reviews of ThriftBooks before ordering from them. Ugh. 6y

adnama82 Oh no! I‘m still waiting on a gift I ordered for you on Etsy, I‘m also getting nervous because I leave for Vietnam for 2 weeks starting next week. I may end up shipping what I have so far before I leave, and then ship you the Etsy item once I get back unless it arrives before Tuesday of next week 😔 6y

Chrissyreadit We have been having problems with post office too. My box was left outside in an area we do not use (odd because they had to pass the garage and main door to go to it and there is no walkway) and all of the books in it were soaked. 6y

Endowarrior21 @Chrissyreadit mine have been left in bushes, trash can, and middle of the driveway. And I have a lock box for them that all the post person has to do is scan the tracking number with the lock and it unlocks and they can put it in it. Then once you put the lid back down it locks right back up. But I still get messed up boxes. 6y

I tried getting to the PO yesterday, but they closed before I got there😬 but I was there waiting when they opened up this morning! @Chrys your #feedareader and @Alfrazier21 your #easterbasketswap packages are officially on the way! JamieArc Something about the way they printed the labels always made my address unreadable so this has happened to me several times, resulting in going home on my lunch period to stalk the mailman. It would make me so angry! 😠😤🤬 6y

NovelGirl82 Yeah, there should be 3 books and 3 journals. I‘m glad they weren‘t damaged & arrived on time, at least. That makes me so mad! Sometimes they are great, and others they just throw things around & don‘t care what happens. 6y

ReaderthenBlogger My coworkers laugh at me when I break out the tape to tape someone‘s package. They say I‘m the tape queen. I don‘t want someone to think I don‘t care. I‘d be upset if my package arrived like that and they didn‘t attempt to fix it. 6y

Its about who did but how many hands did it pass and no one said “geez let me put some tape because its books and can get lost or damaged fairly quickly” they wont let someone mail a mess up package so obviously it was an employee or machine from USPS 6y

ReaderthenBlogger Exactly! We know these packages change so many hands. And I get there is a schedule and flow but it takes just a few minutes to tape a package. 6y

Hey everyone! I'm getting things ready to mail out my first package for a Postal Book Club and I was wondering if anyone knows whether sending our journals with the novels would void the package's eligibility for the media rate with the post office. Thanks in advance 😀
