All my twenty something coworkers recommended this to me as being one of their favorite YAs.
“So I‘m sitting in our vaulted living room, crunching the ice left over from my seltzer, skimming through Tracy‘s stack of In Touch magazines. Suddenly I hear a loud, continuous buzzing sound. As it goes on and on I look around, alarmed, trying to identify it. The dryer? The #smoke detector? Finally, I realize it‘s the doorbell, buzzing and buzzing, on and on and on.”
Someone in my NextDoor app promoted books and reading (and then linked to the library) with the click-bait header: Check It Out 😂 So much better than the usual posts about bats and coyotes from the clueless folks who don‘t know that when a stray cat shows up on your deck you may as well name it, feed it and buy it a collar because it‘s no longer lost - that‘s your cat now!
It's hot here in Slovenia. We have first week without rain and it's really hot (over 30°C). I'm drinking cold water and eating ice cream all the time😆

This book was very different then I thought it would be; my heart pounded, I freaked, and I sighed with happiness. The only thing I wish is that there was more closure at the end. I loved it!

I had a tough time with this one because of the narration so I've tried to put that aside and think of the story and for that it gets this review. Based on the audiobook alone I almost gave up on it several times but the story was pretty good with a twist I didn't see coming. I'd recommend the book but not the audio format.
Did a little #audiowalking for my lunch break. Gorgeous day!!
I'm trying really hard not to give up on this audiobook, the narrator has a very breathy voice that is kinda grating on my nerves. We'll see how long I can endure it...
This is a ya book I love about #yalove. However what I loved most about this book was not the romance (although i enjoyed that too) but the Garrett family. As a kid I wanted to be a Walton. I am drawn to big families and the Garretts were amazing- chaotic, hilarious and loving. Add in the menagerie living in their house and I was ready to be adopted. #17booklove
I waffled in between so-so and pick, ultimately deciding to go with pick. This was a fairly enjoyable light read, I just had problems with how long it took the main character to act. I'm looking forward to book two, and am hoping they resolve the Nan issue as they just kind of... left that.
As far as romances go, this book was sizzling in all the right ways. The characters were lovable and the plot kept me hooked, all the way to the end, where I felt like it just ended. There were too many loose ends that could have easily been answered, and they left me unsatisfied.
